Just checked my tariff (I pay direct debit) and it’s showing
this is more than I what I thought they were allowed to charge due to the cap. Is this a mistake? Or have misunderstood?

Seeing similar. Will they calculate bills at 34p per unit for elec but show us the uncapped in our apps?

There are five posts with exactly this question just this morning, and tens more over the last few days.
The online displays have not been updated.
You are not going to be overcharged.1 -
Aye I just saw and was coming to delete mine. Thanks.0

I'm assuming they are the rates before Govt. intervention and will be changed in due course. I too show Next Flex52.90 p/kWh 38.94 p/day although I received a letter from them the other day informing me that my new rate will be 35.056 p/kWh & 38.936 per day.
I assume Eon Next will amend the online statement soon. I submitted a reading last evening and I have been billed already (at the old rate) so they are quick with some things.0 -
This price was updated this morning, so they have updated the price incorrectly?Sorry if I have duplicated other peoples posts, I found it hard enough finding the right place to post let alone finding other posts about it.
seems like a lot of people worried about it then, very disconcerting that suppliers are causing so much concern
thank you for your replies, I feel better now although I probably won’t fully relax till I see the correct price on my account0 -
Have the same issue regarding the display of prices. Have received no communication from EON Next at all. It’s been a poor show from many energy companies in relation to communication.0

Same here - with octopus flexible/variable - have emailed them - to ask for an explanation
why showing Rates above what they are allowed to charge by ofgem -

The price has automatically changed to the old October numbers that they had several months to program.
It hasn’t yet changed to the new October numbers that they’ve only had relative days to program.
Communication has been very clear regarding what you will pay. All the information is there and all the guidance has been unchanged for days to let you work it out.0 -
Most suppliers are using the £3500 figure prices as they haven't had time to instigate the new £2500 rates yet. My Octopus account is saying over 50p per kWh for electric and over 14p for gas but the message above says they will be doing the new figures shortly.swansea_girl_2 said:Just checked my tariff (I pay direct debit) and it’s showing

They have also put a link to what the new October rates will be
