akh43 said:I have not heard anything from Sainsbury's energy either yet, currently on V18 fix until 7 Oct and then the new 1 year Fix Smooth renew V2I (missed out on V20) chosen before the Government's new energy Cap.Don't compare monthly payments, your current fix may include the £66 discount, where as if you change to the SVT it will not, so the SVT will appear more expensive, but it won't be. It seems the discount was applied manually so when people have changed tariff the discount has been lost. Hopefully it'll still be applied to the account! It seems we are confusing the energy companies at the moment with all the PC/PCG/discounts and changing tariffs, which I guess there system wasn't designed for, plus they need to stay awake because all the discounts could change on the 1st January0

SVR rates are:Electric
Unit rate 51.324p per kWh Standing charge 43.26p per day GasUnit rate 14.75355p per kWh Standing charge 28.48p per day V21 rates are:ElectricUnit rate 49.42p/kWhStanding charge 42.24p/dayGasUnit rate 12.40p/kWhStanding charge 27.22p/dayFixed prices seem a bit cheaper and they definitely changed from the old V21 rates which were:ElectricUnit rate 67.27p/kwhStanding charge 42.24p/dayGasUnit rate 16.83p/kwhStanding charge 27.22p/day0 -
Those SVT rates are not correct. The new EPG/SVT rates are much lower.0

If you are talking about my SVT figures they are taken from my sainsbury account if I try to change my tariff to the SVT, maybe it has not been updated.Does anyone else on Sainsburys have any different figures for the SVT or the V21 tariff?0

On v19 smooth renew here (also can't see SVT rates as option to change tariff was pulled).
Original contract rates:Electricity Unit price 52.63p per kWh Standing charge 48.13p per day Gas Unit price 13.35p per kWh Standing charge 27.22p per day Current rates post EPG:Electricity
34.78p/kWh 48.13p/dayGas
10.33p/kWh 27.22p/day
I /think/ I'm slightly above the SVT on electricity, but not enough to warrant a complaint, they've been okay-ish.0 -

Electricity 50.89/ 41.66
So the Gas seems to be in line but the Electricity some 15p more.
I received my £66 Govt discount payment to my Sainsburys account yesterday and have also had 2 'Customer service gesture' credits, £3.67 & £4.56 on 3rd October, the reason for which hasn't been relayed to me.
My previous fixed rate finished on the 25th September and the V21 seemingly automatically replaced it but like many others, I have received no communication from Sainsburys.0 -
The £66 credit is showing this morning on Sainsbury " 6 October HM Government Discount Energy Bills Support Scheme".0

I contacted Sainsbury by FB mesenger last night and the response I have just received is:We are getting the tariffs updated but if you would prefer for peace if mind I can get you moved over to the government standard tariff this one the rates will not go up in the next 2 years, The rates for this are the following. Sainsburys Standard Variable SAINSBURYS_STANDARD_VARIABLE £190.16 per month £2,281.99 per year Unit charge 33.48p/kWh Standing charge 43.26p/day Unit charge 10.33p/kWh Standing charge 28.48p/day Prices include VAT and EPG discounts where applicable. is this something you would like me to do for you?I have responded back to ask what my V21 tariff rates will be (I am in North West) as want to make an informed decision and also asked whether the £66/£67 discount is included in these figures or not and still waiting for a response.
