 Opened up a new post because some are moaning “The Top Fixed interest Savings Discussion” is getting cluttered up.

So, opened this morning and £500 sent. The NBS interface does not show additions or anything really. I see what’s what tomorrow when hopefully money is received.

Of note - NBS can stopped anymore payments being received as they see fit.

This is my first rung up the so called ladder. Expecting better interest paying accounts soon.

I'm in exactly the same position, sent £500 yesterday but nothing showing online. The account isn't even showing online yet, just a blank dashboard.

Reading other comments 1 minute it’s opened the next minute is closed as I experience too. If your are interested, give it another try.

Gosh, that was quick! I opened the account this morning from my hotel room, haven’t even funded it yet. 

Shows how volatile the market is.

You may have open up the account, it doesn’t mean you can pay money in – they may have already reached their set target.

Nothing on my Newcastle BS dashboard yet either , beginning to think Newcastle overwhelmed with applications and expecting some technical issue to pop up !

When Union Bank of India offered the saving rate 3.5% (I think) it was a yawn factor for me, but obviously not to others as it was quickly taken off the market.

Anyway, the lesson I have learnt now, maybe obvious to you, is to react faster and get your money in quick.

Opened one this morning (had to try it a few times as it was unavailable, then available again!), received second email (with user ID), logged in, and account is showing as expected.

Test payment sent...

Sent a top-up payment this morning and it's showing in my account now.
