Hope you are ok @beanielou. Take care.
Heres my update for today:
Outside - Beautiful day today, should have gone for a walk but instead only managed walk to parents up the road & then watched ds at footy for an hour.Inside - Sorted all our hats & gloves and tidied ds clothes drawers.
Fun - Watching ds at training and chatting with other parents.
Food / alcohol - Mostly healthy, had a miss mash from the freezer for tea. Hardly anything in it but will be doing a big top up next month.
Read - DS started his new book and is enjoy it. I’m not sure what I want to read at the moment. Downloaded a few samples but nothing taking my fancy!
Plan for December - Excited to be going to the home of bargains tomorrow to have a look what they have in for that day in December and to try and get some ideas and some motivation. Also as ds birthday is December wrapping paper options will be sparse so might buy that too.
NSD - Yes 10/15
MSE - Still checking for a bt deal. Hoping n/wide switch will complete tomorrow. Came to bed to watch footy on tv instead of putting heating on.
Gratitude - Grateful for wfh as got loads done today, homemade soup, a beautiful day.
Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£260. PAD member.11 -
Today I have spent nothing. Yay! Got guilted into volunteering today as I am going to be working for 2 of my next 3 volunteering shifts. So annoyed with myself for going in and doing it. I know it is how charities work, but still, I wasted my whole morning, and I fell for it. Grrr!!Came home and had a sandwich and then spent 3 hours going through 'dump boxes' sorting what can be recycled, what is no longer needed, and what needs to be thrown away. There is 6 years worth of stuff in there (it is supposed to be the downstairs bathroom, but really it is a storage area for boxes of tat nobody looks in. There is about half as much tat now. Then made a lovely cauliflower cheese for tea, and read through all my manuals for the new job and signed on the dotted line over and over and over again, but they asked for my bank details, so I will not complain! Am quite excited by the idea of a regular pay cheque for a couple of months.A trip to the recycling centre is on the cards for tomorrow to get rid of the metal, then I am getting out my drill, and everything that is supposed to be attached to a wall, is going up on the wall. There, I have a plan.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening turtles
Went to bed with a headache yesterday, I had swimming booked this morning but I cancelled last night for free just in case. Worked out for the best as I was awake at about 3am for some reason...
Quite a long day at work, didn't get to move as much as I'd have liked but it was productive. Small spends today, I bought a book for £6 and a hi vis cover for my rucksack for when I'm cycling. I've realised I'm not as visible as I'd like and want to change that before winter sets in!
Budgets updated and expense claim submitted at work.13 -

I've been feeling quite tired today trying to rework the budget yet again after the changes to the plans to manage the energy crisis and other things were ripped up and disposed of.Sending positive vibes to greent , beanie and all those in need.I have noticed GMN hasn't posted today rare for her so hope she is ok.I also realised Abundant hasn't posted for a while. When they were planning to get out in the world more and decided to learn how to dance I remember screaming with laughter when they chose pole dancing as their first learn to dance challenge. Not the easiest thing to choose and they soon learned that' after a few attempts. They did tend to post on and off but I do hope they're ok.Take care all and I hope naughty cats get their acts together. They can be quite funny but at times pretty irritating when they do odd things and need rescuing or dragging back indoors.Hugs to those looking after ill family members or with other worries.BTW I never did pole dancing myself but I had seen it on tv nad it didn't look easy.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Massive hugs @lcc86, @hazeldreams, @greent & @beanielou. Definitely take time on the chaise longue & we will bring you endless beverages & nibbles.
@beanielou the package is in the post 😊
@firsview glad you got the kitty back, naughty DH, hope he spoils you & DD to make up for letting cat out! At least a cuppa when you next want one!
Woke early as a woman was coming to buy some books at 8am, she forgot - again! Did my yoga. After breakfast me & DH walked to the village & back (so got a lot of RM survey things posted). Hand washed a jacket & hung it on the line.
Had the best afternoon in a long time! DH went up in the attic of the garage & passed down all the boxes & bags of wool for me to sort through. I got my new plastic crates ready & sorted through everything, then boxed it up. It was like being in my very own wool shop 😍 found lots of Aran wool to knit a jumper (probably enough colours & amounts to make 3 different ones) from my new pattern book 😃 lots of other wool found. 18 balls of Eskimo wool, that I'm giving to a friend who makes minute teddy bears - she's going to make me one as a thank you. Had large rolls of fabric 12-16" wide from a curtain factory, that I'll never use, so advertised them, some 4 ply wool & big L4go bricks. Sold them all apart from a wool winder, so that's £58 in our pockets. Lots more to work through & advertise yet too.
Washed up after tea, read lots of my book in the bath (@50 pages left), then tipped all the large bricks in to give them a wash. Will dry them all tomorrow, ready to be dropped at the buyer's house on Friday.
Plus it's a NSD😃 few & far between so far this month!
Grateful for my wool supplies, a nice walk, a sense of achievement, items out & money inUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

I'm trying to convince myself to head to bed but in last few years have been so grateful for my wool stash collected over the years.I did take some to youngest after our Dr ordered her to sheild and she moved to her boyfriends where the rescue cats were..Knitting , reading and colouring and other things did help her pass the time. my wool ,fabric and counted cross stitch stashes helped me when the house was too quiet after she'd gone. I never embraced the full Kondo challenge as I always felt one day the stashes and my books would come in handy and they did. I always kept up my hobbies but could continue without having to search for craft supplies just ordered any books online also making use of online sites to source new patterns many available on the web free to read online.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

@beanielou so sorry to hear about your falls, I hope you're ok?
@greent glad you're feeling marginally better.
@firsview your naughty kitty story put a smile on my face this morning, thank you
Update for yesterday and plans for today;
Outside Didn't manage anything as was in the office all day and back to back with meetings. Same again today but can prioritise getting outside tomorrow and the rest of the week.
Inside Nothing, was at work, but OH prioritised spending time with DD1 (at my request) as she's been low.
Fun Nope, but when meditating this morning, the concept of having fun as a family of 4 did come up so I've tasked the OH with booking a day out with just the 4 of us on Wednesday next week during half term. No boyfriends or best friends allowed. Just the 4 of us. Might have to be a theme park. Haven't budgeted for it, but we need it so will use some of £850 coming back from energy supplier.
Food/Drink AF again. 12/31 days so far this month. Still need to up the water but did have more than the day before. Loved my homemade leek and fennel soup with brown sourdough yesterday. Same again for lunch today.
Read Yes, solve for happy. Will listen again on the way in to work today.
Plan 4 Dec Nothing.
Gratitudes Cold/flu symptoms have gone thankfully. Meditation. Having the means to put the heating on to warm up the bathroom for my shower this morning.
Yoga/Meditation No yoga, not enough time before work, but I am booked on at the gym tonight. Really need to go its been more than a week since I've been. Meditation - managed 5 mins.
Spending NSD 5/10. Hoping to stay away from the shops and get to 6/10 today.

I'm up early this morning as the oven man is supposed to be coming between 7.00 and 10.00. I'll be so glad when this is all done. I get so stressed about things like this.
Got all the Boy's washing done, dried on the line and ironed yesterday. Apparently I'm a Superhero. According to him anyway. Kitchen has now been deep cleaned. Cupboards will be rearranged after the fridge/freezer arrives.
I really must get back to reading my books. I'm reading a series about a detective in London during the blitz. A bit kind of Foyle's War. Quite enjoying them but I've been a bit tired after the flu/COVID jab episode.
Hope everyone who isn't well/having problems, etc gets everything sorted out soon.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9
