Congratulations on the job @f0xh0les. Good to catch up on what people are up to, looks like a productive turtle week!
I had another busy day at work, felt like I was here, there and everywhere, but it was good at the same time. I bought a couple of train tickets for next week (save a couple of quid if I buy in advance) and also bought a gas camping stove thing. I don't know if I'm buying into the fear (I was definitely never a toilet roll hoarder during covid so don't know where it's come from) but just feel a bit unsettled about winter. I mostly use my air fryer but at least I have a backup for emergencies.
Got lots of steps in today, did a short workout this morning and boxing class this evening, need to go and lie in a hot bath to soak my muscles now! Friday tomorrow, woo hoo!10 -
Congrats on the job f0xh0les!
When we were on holiday on the summer, I noticed a Foxholes road in Brixham

Congrats to f0xh0les!
Could you persuade DS1 to look for a seasonal job? I'm going to try and get my DS1 to apply for some Xmas roles whilst looking for something more permanent - as well as money it will be good experience for him and hopefully help with future interview questions (he's never had any work whereas DD had 2 jobs between leaving school and leaving uni)
Busy day at work (well, I say day - I left at 1.30...) I had some things I needed to go in to do so I did those and also got a rubbish job done that needed doing for next weekI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £209 -
Congratulations @f0xh0les.
Outside: walked to & from the office from where I park.
Inside - Just the basics today.
Fun - nothing here today, feel quite grumpy for no real reason whatsoever except the state of the world!
Food / alcohol - Very unhealthy in the office but had a healthy tea. No alcohol. Been for a grocery shop. Prices of things makes me sad!
Read - No
Plan for December - I actually felt quite anxious seeing all December items appearing on the shops. I’m usually fizzing with excitement with it all.
NSD - Groceries & fuel bought today so still 6/15.
MSE - Gave meter readings again ready for my bill to be prepared. Also checking one of my cc’s for an offer to bt some of my balance over from the other oneso I know everything is 0% until my DFD.
Gratitude - I have a home, a family, & money to cover my bills.
Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2609 -
Well done f0xh0les! An indoor job! What if the PO want you too?Today I am grateful for DC going to school (albeit late), for getting all my errands done, for getting ahead and prepping some of next half term, for leftovers for tea, for being all packed and ready for an early start (4.45. 🤪) tomorrow as we head to Penzance for a few days.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11

Congratulations f0xh0les, I once applied to be Mother C at our local (very posh, very large) garden centre. Basically running the afternoon tea with Father C and Mother C for groups of children - think yours sounds easier.
Another intruder ahead of his time - I have seen that yellow bear with the bandaged eye, he's not due until mid November. Heard some dreadful singing when I was checking bus times (our buskers vary from good to superlative) and after I'd worked my way across the bus station, through the mall to halfway and then took the short cut through the market to get to other shops I wanted. The dreadful singing was Pudsey's mate. I really do not like that bear.
Anyway I came out level with Will Co so went to get replacement blunt nose pliers and used them to turn the outlet on the WM to release the water. DS3 has emptied the box under the sink. Grateful for old towels, curtailing my planned activities (dragged myself home limping so very glad I didn't try to go to mum's, having a second shower this evening to give me a head start tomorrow. Think I might have a taxi tomorrow, The bus stops facing the hospital but then you have to double back to the crossing (four lanes of traffic) round a low wall, down a sloping path and then you're only at the end of the entry corridor. If I have a taxi they drop me off at the turning circle the ambulances use and it's near the main entrance and much nearer where I need to be. polly said I should get a taxi to avoid other people's germs, as I'm only just on my feet again.9
