Rates when no DD has been set up

Thanks for posting those tables but my new rates from October are different to those.
I am Eastern region and at the moment pay by debit card on receipt of bill.
My new rates according to the email from Octopus are:
Electric Unit 35.757
Standing Charge 42.66
Gas Unit 10.476
Standing Charge 32.167
I'm not quite understanding this at the moment.1 -
Those Octopus tables are (based on the description elsewhere on the page) not actually the tariff rates that will be charged to customers. They appear to be the source table in the background (i.e. the one that we used to go to OFGEM to find) but this time it is including VAT?LindsayT said:Thanks for posting those tables but my new rates from October are different to those.

An interesting development, but more confusing than useful I think.
Still, your rates from the email don't match the text or the tables on that page.0 -
Agreed; in particular they don't give the split E7 rates, which would be useful to several forumites.[Deleted User] said:Those Octopus tables are (based on the description elsewhere on the page) not actually the tariff rates that will be charged to customers. If I pay £1 through DD and the rest with credit card, would I still benefit from DD discount? I'm trying to earn avios points (thanks to another forumite who suggested this!).0

Direct Debit just has to be set up, minimum DD amount is £1 per month.....

"You're free to set your DD amount or have a variable amount – but if you really don't want to set one up, you still get a great price"

DD rates very slightly lower E kWh rates, very slightly higher G kWh rates than MSE show for Eastern and East Midlands as examples which led me to believe tables of KWh rates were flexible rates from 1 October. ( Non DD rates are Energy Price Guarantee rates not including Octo further reductions)LindsayT said:Thanks for posting those tables but my new rates from October are different to those.

By 'further reductions' do you mean the 4% discount on standing charge?bristolleedsfan said:

Based on this: "Octopus Energy’s customers will be paying 44.71p per day for electricity and 26.84p per day for gas from 1 October" from https://octopus.energy/press/octopus-takes-stand-against-standing-charges-with-40m-package/ both those tables are pre-4% discount.
(If they administer it like they did the Loyal Octopus discount, it will show as a discount on the bill rather than in the published tariff rates.)1
