Good morning everyone!
I've been absent for a little while, and having just caught up with about 8 pages of this thread, I thought it about time that I posted! It's nice to see some of the old faces popping in to say hello, and I hope you all have a :xmassign: .
Congratulations Michelle on your blue baby!
I think it was soappie, but ages back in the thread, so sorry if I've got this wrong, but you can freeze flavoured butters in a sausage of baking parchment and then just cut a little off when you need it. It keeps for months according to Jamie Oliver, and that way it won't stink out your fridge.
I hope you're feeling better now Dusty now that you've done all of your Christmas shopping. I suffer from IBS as well, and recently started to take an aloe vera drink from Forever Living as my neighbour works for them. I've only been taking it for a couple of weeks (a 30ml shotglass every morning on an empty stomach) but it seems to be making a difference to me. It's £18 a bottle, but this lasts 2 people a month, and it keeps for ages. I have the cranberry one as it contains vitamine C too. One of the unexpected differences I've noticed, is that my skin looks much healthier and glowing.
Just looked at your ticker tape Rach, and it says 10 months etc since our wedding! You must be getting really excited about it now, and I hope your OH feels better soon.
lil_me I hope that your ear gets better soon. The hot water bottle suggested was a good idea. I use my wheat bag now for everything, and it does seem to offer some relief.
AnWsMum, that pic is great! I'm glad that you had a good time at the concert.
Hope you feel better soon too Juliejim and that someone gives you a hand getting everything done - you could always go on strike, and I'm sure people will get into action.
Any luck with the present shopping so far lbn?
Serena and everyone else who has been doing their Christmas food shopping, I completely empathise with you - I went yesterday, and Mr T was HELL! I only wanted to get a few things, and they'd run out of most of them, and when I got to the tills with my 5 things, they all had about 8 people in front of them with packed trolleys. I swore I wouldn't shop the weekend before Christmas, but OH informed me yesterday that we needed bread and a few other things that he'd neglected to tell me about until the last minute!
Oh well, as I haven't flown properly for a few weeks, and I won't have much time or energy in the New Year when I start teaching full time, I'd best try to turn this chaos into some kind of order, and change out of my pjs!
Happy Christmas and New Year everyone if I don't get on here before then!

Morning all
Washing done and draped round the radiators. The sun is shining but it's really frosty and cold. Very pretty though.
Dusted and vacuumed living room and vacuumed through hallway and kitchen. Prepped veg for tea. Made a (packet) cheesecake. Still got to put up another line for cards.0 -
downstairs is now vacuumed, but i have just added loads of bits to the list on the other page. oh well. DH has promised to help this afternoon when he comes in, and i am not towing on too much when charlie feels it is his mission in life to help me. It will be nice when he is old enough to be trained, but at the moment he just keeps moving things i have already tidied and messing it up again.
It seems to have turned into a bit of a lovefest on here while i was hoovering. Lovely to see you PP and TNG. Original flybabes. It's brill we are so mutually appreciative. Right, Time for a cuppa and a play with charlie for a bit i think.
Michelle, x0 -
Dusty, no better unfortunately, but thank you for asking, I am going to ring the doctors tomorrow, I hate going but not sleeping is wearing me out and I have the boys to deal with. See if they can actually do anything as it must be over 2 weeks since this started now. Added to the water infection it's just driving me mad, so much needs doing and I am tired and in pain, making me ever so grumpy.
DS2 has decided he's not going with DP today, so looks like I have everything to do with the boys under my feet while DP is out playing with his toys, then he'll go to work after coming back to be fed, oh well nothing new there then.
Need to do the final shopping list today aswell, I'm going to be one of the nutters who goes shopping tomorrow as I have more money then, DP of course has earned extra this week, has his bonus etc but just said 'oh well that will pay for my day out this week' so I just ignored him. I can't go today anyway as he'll be out using my car to go out playing with his toys as he still hasn't taxed his to put it back on the road and I'd have used the card but I don't know what the pin number is, I only use it for shopping online.
Am I just being a stress head and letting too much get to me? Probably, I think this cold & ear ache is making me moody aswell. Oh well I usually get more done when I am in a bad mood, so hopefully will blast through it today.
Right, good idea Michelle, I'll join you in that cuppa then laundry first I think, it's all escaping out of the basket. One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me - hope you're feeling a little bit better and it gets sorted soon.
AnW'sMum - I loved that piccie of you both. Looks like you had a fabulous time.
Well, i'm ready. Going to spend the rest of today rearranging DSs bedroom as his bed is in the wrong place and takes up loads of room.
Just to let you know that sadly my friend's husband died yesterday. I wanted to thank you all for advice and cheering me up at times over the last few weeks. On a positive note they are all preparing for a massive Christmas Day for the two children which they say won't be the same but will be different and as fun as possible for the littlies.
Sorry if this post is a bit of a downer but it's not meant to be so i'd like to raise a toast to those who won't be with us this year and a toast to you all for making it so i'm no longer ashamed of my house and bringing laughter and lunacy (pigpen!) to me this year xxJanuary budget
