Morning all
And big hugs to those of you who are ill and stressed.
Having worked blooming hard all week, today is my 'me' day so my tasks for today look like this:- Have a long soak in the bath instead of a quick functional one
- Give hair a good condition
- Get footspar out and soak feet and exfoliate them
- Do toenails
- Deep clean, tone and moisturise my old and rugged face
- Read at least three chapters of the book I bought last week and haven't even started
- Wrap best friend's birthday present
- Write best friend's birthday card
- Wander down road to deliver said present and card
- Take a leisurely walk with the dog and deliver local christmas cards
- Browse cookery books for ideas on fantastic dips for starters (this, actually, to me, is pleasurable!)
- S&S
- Wash throws from living room.
- Maybe some ironing
- Cook roast dinner (remembering DiL is now vegetarian)
- Maybe start wrapping Christmas presents rather than leave them until tomorrow
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

morning everyone.
DH working this morning. Charlie let me have a lie in till nearly 8, but it wasn't worth it as his nappy had leaked and i now have a wet gro bag to wash, and his other isn't dry yet.
DH also forgot to take his mates pressie with him to deliver, so that is another job for us to now do tomorrow.
I like the sound of a pamper day. I could do with doing most of the things soappie said, plus wash my hair. Might do that tonight and let DH wrap in peace. Plus, anthea's perfect xmas on tonight at 8, so i may just watch that upstairs.
Right, so far managed to dress charlie, heat up some croissants for breakie for the 2 of us, scoff them, plus get a load of bibs on in the WM. Think i had best get me dressed, both of us washed and then try and walk the hoover round before too many more toys get pulled out.
Have an enjoyable day everyone.

Morning all
Looks a bright crispy frosty morning out there. I gave the car it's annual wash whether it needed it or not yesterdayand then in the afternoon it rained! Ah well it still looks all twinkly.
I should be printing off copies of A & W's school pics for their adoptive grandparents s owe can take them down to church. Decided to go to the short service at 11.15 as W was up crying again last night, said his feet hurt, that's 2 nights in a row, think it might be cramp. If I get a move on I can jump in the shower now and have dry hair before we leave the house.
Hope you all have a good day and achieve all you set out to do but PLEASE don't stress if some things are still left. Remember the pledgeOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Good morning Flyladies! I've not been posting on this thread for a while, but thought I'd pop in to wish you all a :xmassign: You'll be glad to know that, inspired by you all, my house is tidy and clean, and I have the rest of today and tomorrow to relax cooking, cinema, and our traditional Christmas Eve trip to the seaside for beach cricket and fish and chips. We have guests arriving tonight and tomorrow, and everything is prepared.
Thank you for all your help and support this year, Penny. xx:snow_grin:xmastree: :rudolf: :xmassmile :santa2: :snow_laug:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Have a fab Christmas Penny, pleased to hear all the preparing is done so you can all have some lovely family time. Beach cricket maybe a no for me (not much use with a bat) but fish and chips sounds fab, hmmmm, wonder if I can talk my partner into a trip down to the fish quay. You've helped me loads with the cooking 'issues' this year so thank you aswell
Anyone else up for a last minute splurge on Wilkos, see what I can add to the Christmas Cup total with stocking upOk I'm just a spendaholic and very competative :rotfl:
DP and DS2 going out today so I'll be having a last blast through the housework, resort the other freezer and hopefully spend some nice time with DS1 aswell.
juliejim empty the sacks and arrange hers around a chair or something. I always end up doing that because one of the other has 'larger' presents. I never count what value or size they are now, just 'have they got what they wanted' if that is a yes I am happy. One day I might be more organised...........

No - thank YOU PenPen. You helped me when I was floundering around on me own trying to keep the place reasonable while Mrs T was working all the hours under the sun (and moon!) - remember the half term challenge? :rotfl: :rotfl:
That and your general helpfulness, knowledge and friendliness make you a very special person
Thanks. I owe you a lot
