I've surfaced.. but excessively busy.. I have at least 15 loads of washing.. it isn't drying outside and I only have 1 dryer.. I am seriously considering sending hubby to the launderette with 3 binbags of washed stuff..

The house is a bin.. just catching up on bills.. most are paid fully again now.. just catching up on my christmas spending.

Utility fully paid.. as are vertbaudet and la redoute.. I have a few which don't want to be paid yet which has enabled me to pay off a few others early.. bonus!! Wonder how much I owe Ace.. best phone and check!... hhmmm.. if I said .. EEEEEEKKK!!!!!! Would it quite cover it??? it isn't really as bad as I thought thankfully! christmas damage limitation seems to have been fairly well contained.

in 2008 I shall attempt to save £100 a month in my safe to pay for next christmas.. it shouldn't be too hard now I have most stuff paid off...

    back to the laundry then..

Oh hello pigpen, I have no idea with Next, I've only ever bought stuff in store with them.

DP is back, early, hmmm, anyone want to borrow him ? I can't be bothered with him yet and I know we'll just end up arguing because he's now trying to be nice after being a tosspot for 3 days. He can **** off because I am not in the mood to be nice yet :D

Another laundry load in, I am sick of washing!! Oh and the kitchen can just be swiped for now because the lists start again tomorrow.
One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks for the dinner idea Dusty kitten and lil_me. I usually write a menu list for the month but I ended on Boxing Day and have been winging it since then. I got some chicken breasts out of the freezer so I will cut them into small pieces and dust them in Cajun seasoning and have them with potato wedges and ? sprouts again? , maybe with some veg out of the garden.

I have cleaned out the nesting boxes for the hens as we had visiting children yesterday and I hadn't realised until this morning that they had opened the nesting boxes and all the straw was soaked through. No eggs again today.
It isn't raining!! But too damp to hang washing out so TD has been on all day. I have my right wrist in a splint so am building up left hand muscles now.
pigpen good luck with saving £100 per month. I saved £60 this year and with pigsback vouchers have no Christmas debt for the first time ever and have some money still in my savings account.
Crazy dog is now ripping up his bed as he wants attention, and a cushion now. Must go
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I have now sorted payments for the next 2 months.. organised a standing order to transfer money from our joint account to the savings account once a month to cover christmas.. I WILL have it sorted by October this year like I did before we moved to this money pit.. I WILL NOT take the children on holiday.. after last year I really can't cope with it again.. I may be mean and send hubby away with a few of them for a few days though.. I'll see how well he behaves.

Right.. kitchen attack here I come.. !!!

I WILL get on top of this laundry mountain if it kills me!!

I've done nowt! Got asked if me and DD1 would like to go out to lunch and a stroll around the Metro Centre and jumped at the chance and it was luverly! Lunch at Romanos (never had a proper italian pizza before) had to eat it with a knife and fork  :D cost MIL £40 for the four of us though, I nearly choked on it  that's a whole weeks food shop for me lmao, but it was fab to be out and about. Just got in so stuck the heating on and checked my beef for defrosted-ness, will make a brew then start on tea even though we're not hungry but will be at 7pm.

Evening! We've been to feed the ducks which was great fun. DH is making crispy duck for tonight so I can't wait. I've only just remembered to 'find' the paperwork for taxing the car and he's so grateful I almost feel bad.

I've now got five empty drawers in the bedroom. I've completely gutted them and sent loads to the charity shop. Only another 12 drawers to clear!
Think i'll go and have an early drink first...it is still christmas! xx

Edit: I've just re-read that - we didn't get the duck we're cooking from the pond - honest!

    Nothing left!
  • Ok so whose bright idea was it for me to re-paint the bathroom .

It does look good though :D but everything is now white, me included!!! Still got to do the touch up bits.

Also got all the bits for tomorrow night (having loads of people round) Took down the decs and polished everything in the lounge (how much dust )

    Just need to:
[STRIKE] S&S the kitchen[/STRIKE] and mop the floor - after ive hoovered everywhere
S&S the bathroom when stuffs dry
[STRIKE] Hoover everywhere - will do that when im finished on here.....[/STRIKE]
Do another load of washing. [STRIKE]x1[/STRIKE] x1 to do
[STRIKE] Put all the washing away (ironing all that i need to :o)[/STRIKE]

And that will do for today.

Hi everyone! I have not been flying at all for a couple of days, and I'm beginning to get twitchy... Tomorrow they can all remove the presents from the 'gloating' piles in the livingroom, so that I can have a mini blitz. Then the kitchen - actually, not at all bad, but I want to do the tops of the wall units, and also start doing the inside of the cupboards one a week until they're all done.

We had a lovely time in Tunbridge Wells yesterday, and I am now the proud owner of an order form for two sofas! I have spent hours researching and choosing two cream covered sofas, and had reduced the list to two possibilities. So, we were in the shop for over an hour, and have ordered a brand new design, in duck egg blue:D ! But we all loved this one, and once we'd sat on every sofa in the shop, it was the most comfortable (except for the one which was well over £1500!) When we were there, there was a very nice young couple choosing a sofa, and the man was reading to his two little ones on one of the sofas downstairs! They looked so sweet! I had to ring up today to change the order, as in all the excitement, I forgot to order the matching footstool... We haven't yet chosen a separate armchair, as all the ones in there were too big for the room. I think a tubchair may be the right size, but they only had a fixed cover in light cream, unlikely to stay looking nice here.

We had some time to go round the shopping centre, and the boys found some DVD's to buy with their Christmas vouchers, and DD bought a pretty silver and white scarf. I was awfully tempted by some of the reduced gift sets in Boots, but managed to resist.

I do hope all the poorly ones are feeling better very soon. I have read so many pages to catch up today, that I can't remember all the things I was going to say! So, welcome to all the newbies, and hope everyone else full of energy for a brand new flying week!!
