I really need to stop wishing Mondays away too!
Simplify - Nothing here today.
Essential spends - Nothing spent today so that’s 12/15.
Planning & Preparation- Started my December notebook with lists and ideas and dates we are doing things along with costs. The tag off our garden waste bin has disappeared. The council have emptied it but will need a replacement. Also my iron has broken (cracked where the water goes). There’s always something boring and tedious to sort out isn’t there?!Think of spends - Nothing spent today and a rough idea of amount need to allocate to things from now until end of year.
Eat to nourish- Not bad today.
Mindfulness - Not yet today. Tried to help ds with homework ended in tears (his not mine).Be kind - Nothing here today, think I’ve just made things worse!
Exercise - Nope

apple_muncher said:I didn't know you could stuff meatballs...!!!!!Is it a scotch egg?!!Maybe Monday should be renamed Shiny-New-Week-dayBeen off, made cakes and had a coffee party with my old men this morning, but our little celebration got 'me-bombed' by the boss (he is useless and starts every sentence with I ...) - it was about an 80 yr old volunteer's birthday, not him and his one MAN crusade to end period poverty by talking utter twaddle to male pensioners. Twit. Eyes were rolling all over the place.Feeling really quite positive today, for no reason whatsoever. Long may it continue!Gratitudes: DH making supper tonight, my cakes turning out fab and light and fluffy, nobody dying of food poisoning vis-a-vis my cakes, and feeling cheery.... and Victoria Coren Mitchell and the best quiz on tv on tonight.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Had a weirdly okay Monday for a change! Fell asleep on the sofa last night at about 9pm, woke up at midnight on my own so pottered into bed but was awake by 6am.
Pretty good day at work, had a quiet few minutes so did the money shuffle ready for October. Small spend as I bought a fabric dye which I've needed for months as got something unknown on one of my black pairs of jeans and can't get it out so gonna try and hide it instead! But other than that nothing spent.
Got the bus home to save a few pennies, takes longer but I left early today and I also get a decent walk at the end of it. Was rather chilly but at least it was dry.10 -
It was just in my bookface feed - the Wednesday one was as pretentious as the first 2 but then crossed through and replaced by leftovers (but I didn't know how to do the crossing out). My meal plan isn't anything like as fancy as that. Atm it's just 'have I enough energy to go downstairs and open a can of beans/ soup/ rice pudding'. Want an ice lolly because my throat is hurting again.8

Simplify - Today I have sorted some bits of dried plant matter (kind of pot pourri) into the garden waste bin and some paperwork and a cardboard box into recycling. Not much - but overall I have done OK on this in Sept and also raised some extra money along the way.
NSD - yep. Current accounts are skint until pay day (me - 28th, DH - 30th) Had free parking today.
Thankful for the washing getting mostly dry on the line, fluffy new hair, easy food tonight (people have eaten leftovers and hm 'ready meals' from the freezer), some fab staff at today's appointment.

Staying on NSD 10/15.Plumber neighbour popped his invoice through our door for the new radiator this morning. Bye bye £400. Had to take it out of the emergency fund.Spent a further £24 on tickets to a spooky Halloween event for the three of us. Couldn’t leave buying them until next month because I’m sure they will sell out quickly. It was a school holiday here today so I took DS to a park, then we visited OH’s auntie, and as we left her house, DS asked if we could go to his grandparents’ house for dinner. Called the grandparents who of course were more than happy for us to have dinner there. Our adventures meant I didn’t get to try my second gut health recipe but I’ll just do that tomorrow after I get home from the office. I also didn’t get more cupboards cleaned out but hakuna matata.Early to bed tonight so I can be fully charged for a day around people tomorrow.Grateful to spend unexpected time with family, for interesting programmes on NFlix, and for free audiobooks and podcasts.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8

Today I am grateful for my new specs looking good, for getting a few errands done when I went to collect my specs, for fab conversations with an 86 year old purple-haired lady who got the same bus as me both ways, for bumping into the grandma of one of dc's classmates from primary school-we always have a lovely few mins chatting together when we meet, for a brill meeting with dc's HOY, for a video chat with my mum and big sis.

Work today went quite quickly, thank goodness, probably because I had plenty to do. Better to be busy than try to look like you are!
DS said his first day at his new job went quite well. Apparently it's 'old school', whatever that means to a 33 year old. 😂
Lunch for work was leftover HM sweet potato curry (will i ever learn to make less or freeze some instead of eating it twice a day for 3 days?!) Also had HM lemon drizzle cake - one of my favourites.
Still on NSD#3 or 4, can't quite remember, as I called in the Coop on way home and C-day puddings were on special offer. That and some broccoli.
Dragged a lot of mixed paperwork, photos, ancient bits out of sideboard to look for something for DS. Now have a random pile about a foot high to sort through before putting away. Think it can wait till tomorrow night now as I'm pooped.
Taxed mum's car and booked her covid booster for her. Had a letter re: mammogram so need to book that.
Gratitudes: DS getting on ok at new job, lovely HM cake, work going quickly, sun inbetween the showers. X
