Easy day today, woke up quite sore after my massage but was okay after I got moving. Did some batch cooking this morning and a few other jobs around the house. Have ticked off everything on my to do list that I needed to do today so time to relax in front of some trash TV.8

Today I am grateful for walking a fair bit, for meeting some lovely people, for dc getting some hwk down, for being on the finishing stretch of an owl I'm knitting, for Magnum repeats.

Our microwave is needing to be replaced, so ordered a new one. Had £20 in vouchers, then used money from my emergencies envelope.
Went for a walk with DH after breakfast, then got out my sewing machine. Made enough beaks, combs & wattles for 10 chickens, had dinner, neighbour popped round, then I started sewing chickens. Have eyes to put on 2 of them, then another 2 to make tomorrow. Did the ironing, washed the dishes.
Grateful for having sinking funds, my crafting ability, finding out the times for the fayre next weekUse it up, wear it out

f0xh0les said:Was in a hotel near Black Sabbath Bridge!! Lovely canal and lots of places I would love to have had the time to explore. Saw the Commonwealth Bull, did a spot of sightseeing - lusted after the tile floor in the Museum and Art Gallery - wondered why they did not clean the beautiful glass roof of the Edwardian Tearooms in there.

Friday's 'not feeling 100%' turned to an agonising sore throat in the middle of the night so yesterday I collected as much easy to eat food as I could from the fridge and stayed in my room. The 3/4 of a tub of ice cream did wonders for my throat but probably not good for my sugar levels. Smothered in Vix. Need to venture out at some point today as no cough medicine and out of drinks (food order is due today not yesterday). Shoulder is really nagging and headache too, so sitting propped up. Cut out two acorns and an owl, decided the fox can be slightly orange and leave the soft red for the squirrel (may order more of the same autumn felt mix for the leaves).
Hoping to sleep for a while soon (had my pills about 5 am). Hoping to report back later (feeling snappish because of various aches and pains - will try to sleep when the pills and the vix kick in.8 -
Oh no grandmanerd - hope you get some sleep and start to feel better really soon! Both my girls have just had something similar recently, not covid but not nice either.
Yesterdays update;
Gratitude still the pooch! (he's just so adorable first thing in the morning. All cuddly and sleepy and needing cuddles!) Looking forward to seeing my uni mates and their clan today. Whilst we've seen each other at their houses over the last year or so, they're coming up to me for the first time since covid and haven't met the pooch yet so that'll be fun!
NSDs/ Pausing before purchasing still on 7/10 NSDs. DH bought me the wrong bread so had to replace it.
Yoga/Meditation Bodybalance at the gym yesterday which incorporates meditation also. Loved it. Yoga this morning at the gym too. Realised how much it makes a difference to my mood when I'm not religious about practising yoga every day.
Eating and drinking Absolutely thrilled with my day yesterday. Managed 2L water, no sugar, no yeast, loads of veg . Really pleased with myself and feeling so much better for it! DH made the most amazing leek and fennel soup for lunch and I used all the leftover veg (tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic) by roasting them adding a tin of plum tomatoes to make a pasta sauce for tea, which everyone loved. Tons of veg and loads of water is the key for me to eat healthily!
Off to make my morning porridge now!

Afternoon turtles,
We had a bit of a drama with deliveroo last night, OH decided he wanted takeaway (he does this far too often but I don't often partake). Decided I'd get one too, the place is only round the corner but he said he'd get it delivered. An hour later we get a message saying its been left in our front garden because the rider couldn't find us. Never mind that we don't even have a front gardenwe couldn't find it, some poor soul has probably found foxes rummaging through their front garden overnight enjoying their freebies! Anyway, he got a refund and we placed the order directly with the restaurant and I went to get it, £10 cheaper and much less hassle! This happens to OH from time to time and I always tell him to stop being lazy and go and get the food himself but hey ho. Either way it's not a very MSE thing to do but it was a treat (for me anyway) and OH paid.
Today I was up at 6 and went riding with my friend. Pony was a bit naughty so our ride was shorter than I'd have liked, but it's not the end of the world. I went to pick up an order from a DIY store afterwards then went into town looking for a few bits that needed replacing in the kitchen. Used vouchers and then paid the difference of a few pounds at the end. Also used the same vouchers to buy two jumpers and some ankle socks. My socks always disappear so I got ones with coloured toes so that OH can't nick them!
Dyed my hair, washed the bedsheets and have had a bath, feeling relaxed ready for the week ahead.8 -
Today I am grateful for sleeping well, for line dried laundry, for mowing the lawn, for dc having a good day at 2 events, for dc getting a 'tificate for bouldering.
