@grandmanerd.
Agree with others that it would be great to use some of your PIP back date to have someone sort out your bedroom so it suits you.
You seemed to have a quick decision once you had your accessment which is good.

Simplify - Finding drying laundry a challenge now, it’s not drying on the airer and I don’t want to put the heating on or use the dryer. I think I need to do smaller loads and worked out I have 23 spaces on the airer so only do that many at a time and see how that goes.Essentials - NSD 7/15. Nothing bought today.
Planning & Preparation - Need to decide for DS high school place. Open evenings for 2 local schools coming up. I have a preference.Think about spends - Nothing I spent on today.
Eat to nourish - Healthy day today.Mindfulness - Yes being present when having conversations is something I’m more conscious of.
Be kind - So today in work a mistake I made 1 year ago came to light & could have caused a problem. However I admitted it and owned it, sort help and resolved it straight away and disaster avoided. Annoyed at myself as just an error, no reason for it, no excuse for it. But to be kind to myself I’ve decided not to dwell but to deal with it and change how I do things to try to stop it happening again. It was sheer luck I found it when I did! I can’t be 100%, 100% of the time! As I’m human.Exercise - None

I hope for the same once it is me.I hope you have a quick positive decision following your claim.Youngests have been done since the pandemic without needing to attend an assessment centreApart from having to phone both PIP and ESA over no payments to her current account when there were heavy backlogs we only had one bad experience with her last face to face appt at a new assessment centre in the grounds of the second hospital in our hospital trust and many miles away. it was pouring with rain. there were temporary traffic lights due to urgent road works so traffic was often at a standstill.We arrived at the centre at the exact time we were due ,to be told the assessor was ill and they'd left a mesage on my landline.I checked the message when we got home and it was left at the same time we were entering the assessment centre.Youngest was very anxious going back there but we did.The assessor seemed nice although she sat at the far side of the room throughout never coming near youngest.I didn't say anything to youngest but something seemed wrong.After a few days I phoned and requested a copy of the Assessors report and after a few days it arrived a complete work of fiction. She had examined dd who seemed alright, no obvious problems or anything wrong at all.She'd ignored the GPs letter detailing every one of her diagnosed health conditions the 19 monthly meds on repeat and the 2 weekly face to face appts with him. Had stayed in her chair throughout and not examined dd just asked a few questions.I was about to request a mandotory reconsideration when dds pip award letter arrived still enhanced rate for both categories.There was a lovely letter from the decision maker who'd read the report looked back at previous assessments actually read the Drs letters Superdoc was later to refer to as Reports as Drs letters not needed became a thing.She'd gone back all the way to DLA and was happy to continue the enhanced PIP awards.It was a lovely letter with best wishes to us both.A young child when she qualified for DLA agreeing on the claim form DWP could access those old records helped.Not sure about Scotland but it's quite possible you with your medical history will be assessed on paper as dds since the pandemic have beenWatching the journey from Balmoral to Edinburgh Old Town I did think of you when they neared Fife. i hope your furniture is mended and the falls are less.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Evening turtles,
Very late check in, need to get to sleep shortly as have to be up early to get to new job tomorrow.
Started the day with yoga and felt really great afterwards. Took the old dog out for a plod, can't really count that as exercise as he's so slow bless him. Spent the rest of the day with my parents and they treated me to lunch, which was really nice but very filling!
Small spend on fuel today as needed to get home from parents' and wouldn't have made it without.9 -
I seem to have a new wake up time. 5am!Yesterday I submitted a passport application for DS. And bought his sprout day bike as planned. Stayed on NSD 5.Grateful for sunshine, line dried washing, and DS’s interest in the new posters I added to his walls (the solar system, fractions, and punctuation). His bedroom does look a little like a classroom but he likes it and reads the posters aloud.Today (Wednesday)I’ve got some bigger projects going on at work just now and a December deadline, so I’ll be busy with work over the next few months. Work isn’t something I like reporting on in NST though. I like to report my joy from line dried washing, cleaning/clearing something out, or saving a £1. 🙂@BadBookkeeper similar to you I don’t want to turn on the heating to dry washing. I’m genuinely grateful for a sunny dry day at the moment. I know it’s coming to an end soon (I’m in Scotland). When the going’s good, I’ve had bigger items out (yesterday it was a curtain.) Today I’m hoping to get another washed and dried. When I have to use the airier, I put tops on hangers and hang them on the airer. I also use another hanging contraption for smalls.Have a good day, turtles xx

Morning turtles!
great news on the PIP grandma nerd, I also know second hand how hard the process is. And thank you for all the sproutmas stories.. made me giggle
NSD 6 yesterday. Another busy day at work. Had a rest day so no exercise but I should have gone out for a walk at least. Did meditation and MPs. Stuck to the meal plan, salad for lunch and have defrosted chickp curry from the freezer for today.
Super grateful for bf cooking me dinner and washing and folding my clothes yesterday... he even ironed a couple of cardigans which had been shoved at the bottom of a drawer all summer.... how lucky am I (he's still on summer hols) Also grateful for him receiving a full schedule of teaching hours to start next week. It has been very late to be confirmed this year which had us worried (he’s freelance but has one main client) grateful for dodging the rain so far and for a friend coming from the UK for a work trip.
Have a wonderful day

Morning all,
Just a quick note to say how much I enjoy reading through everyones posts. I wish I had longer to reply to them all, but I'm extremely time poor! Please know that I find them so useful and I'm learning so much!
Yesterday's update;
Gratitude - Today is day 7 without alcohol and I feel better for it everyday-really grateful that the break is doing me so good. Grateful for my job, as challenging as it is at the moment, I know I'm extremely lucky to have the role, salary, benefits that I have. Grateful for waking up. Grateful for my health - there's been a few moment recently where I've noticed my health has not been as good as it has been - I'm really trying to enjoy the moments where I feel good and focus on nourishing my body to maintain this feeling.
NSDs/ Pausing before purchasing still on 6/10 NSDs as we paid for the replacement smashed bifold doorand I used a walk to clear my head at work as an excuse to buy chocolate. I've packed dried fruit, nuts and grapes today, hopefully this will satisfy the sweet tooth.
Yoga/Meditation meditation . Yoga and meditation done. "Care" came up as an intention. I do need to care more for my mental and physical health - I don't put it first enough. But there's also a lot of people who rely on me that need my care too so today I'm going to really concentrate on being mindful of this.
Eating and drinking still just focussing on drinking 2L of water a day - 2L again yesterday. It's definitely helping with my appetite.
Have a lovely Wednesday all.

I agree with all the others, Grandmanerd. Get some help to get everything organised and make your bedroom a little haven for "you" time to rest, read and relax.
I could really get used to the peace and quiet of being here. The apartment is lovely - so streamlined, everything we need and no clutter.
Not sure what we're going to do today. Maybe a little walk up to the golf course to watch the seabirds and if we're lucky we might spot some seals.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Thank you @ldee2111, with the good wishes of everyone on the canal & his friends & family fighting his corner, I'm hoping he'll be ok.
Hope you don't have to wait long for your appointments Esmeralda.
NSD#8
Thank you to whoever mentioned YWA for neck & shoulders, did it yesterday & it helped a lot 😃
Work went well, though staff seem pretty flat & a lot of mumbling & moaning going on. Thankfully interviews were held, so fingers crossed we get some good support staff to join the team soon, as we're very stretched! Customer dropped some trousers off before tea, for an alteration, needs doing before Friday! Finally got round to putting money in sinking funds. Had to wait a while for tea & then DS1 to finish his, so 8pm before I could eventually start sewing.
Currently feeling overwhelmed by everything. Supposed to be teaching a sewing class next week, buy haven't had a confirmation email about the room I've booked, though my friend on the committee said it should be ok. Trying to make things for upcoming craft fayres too 🤯
Grateful for a piece of colleague's caramel doughnut birthday cake, interviews being held, a bath & my bookUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
