Grandma, congratulations on getting PIP ๐๐๐ Glad you've got some certainty.Today I am grateful for dc going to school, for finding new specs (though I'll have to sell my body to science to pay for them...), for finding wool I wanted in a ch shop, for buses, for stewed apple from the tree + rasps from the garden + blackberries from the neighbourhood.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11

grandmanerd said:My phone's pinging away and so far all good news. I've been awarded PIP - happyย dance - please do it for me because I can't. I'm downstairs because my phone also told me my prescription would be delivered. When I came downstairs to get my breakfast (rice pudding as I've run out of yoghurts) I did several trips to the bins, one mixed bin bag sorted, a pile of neatly stacked pizza boxes (if they're off the floor and squashed flat I'm happy), bottles I threw out of the bedroom window collected, I've been craving toast so I brought the little loaf, the toaster and a tiny tub of beloved's butter upstairs (I only use a pack of spread in 6 to 12 months and the last one went off). Will do the fridges later (their's has a swede which has shrunk to the size of an egg). Sort out what is and isn't edible and go through the freezer to see what I can make.ย
My leg and knees are working better today but will take things one step at a time - I have 4 library books to go back so that's an easy stepping stone. Grateful for lots of things, PIP gives me a bit of certainty about future income, that fullย moon was absolutely awesome - it was shedding golden light on the clouds beneath it and silver above.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Grateful for a challenging club run. For a granola bar that saved the day and for the opportunity to teach 22 promising young kids tomorrow!

@grandmanerd, loved the disastrous celebrations post. ย Iโm one of those that spend a fortune, want everyone to behave, everything to look amazing and food to be perfect and when it doesnโt happen it spoils it (but only for me)! ย This year I vow to not be so rigid so I get to enjoy the day after all the work and organising that going into it! ยSimplify - Ate a large frog and told Scout leader ย DS is leaving so glad thatโs done. ยEssentials - NSD 6/15. ย Had to buy bread rolls as ones Iโd bought for ds lunch had gone mouldy!!! ย Also paid postage to return old passport. ย
Planning & Preparation - We think we need to visit older relatives in Oz. ย Looks like Easter 2023. ย Our flights will be paid for but will need spends & clothes. ย I also plan not to be as big as I am now. ย Time to really try to lose weight.ย
Think about spends - Did this today.ย
Eat to nourish - Healthy food wise but did have a small glass of red to finish a bottle opened at the weekend.ยMindfulness - A bit of a full mind day today. Too much to think about.ย
Be kind - Attended meeting for charity group Iโm a volunteer for. ย My friend was kind to me & bought something I said I couldnโt find in our supermarket in her supermarket.ย
Exercise - Noneย

@grandmanerd congrats on being awarded PIP, I know how much of a hassle it can be and how many hoops you have to jump through!
Last sproutday I didn't decorate, our decorations are in the very back of our basement hidden behind 3 bikes and innumerable other boxes and I just couldn't be bothered to get it all out! Felt like a scrooge! Our basement desperately needs tidying and sorting so maybe this year..... or next haha.
Rest of yesterday was good, had a good horse ride and OH came along to keep us company. Achey legs today! Had a good, clear drive to Norfolk as well. Have spent the day with my parents, it's been really nice. Been on a slow dog walk with the old dog, and also went into town for an ice cream, although the heavens opened as soon as we got out of the car!
Been a NSD and I got a workout in first thing as well. Never move as much as I like when I'm up here but I can make up for that once I go home.10 -
Great news @grandmanerd ๐
Thanks @Toni'sfriend

Posted 3 coins sold yesterday on fleabay, I've now just sold another one!
Work went fine. Looked up prices on 4m4zon & fleabay for items that DH collects. Used accrued gift vouchers on 4m4zon to get one for free, had put others in my basket on another site, but didn't buy.
Spent all evening going cross eyed at my sewing machine, but finished the last 5 taggy's. Had messages from 2 separate customers needing alterations before the weekend, why do folk leave things til the last minute?!! Will have to jiggle things around to squeeze them in. Feeling very tired now & got achy shoulders & neck.
Grateful for finishing the taggy's, time to put books away in the school library (fancied being a librarian as a child), more salesUse it up, wear it out

Thrifty sorry to hear that your cousin has the big C. I hope his treatment goes well. The best advice I can give is to not do internet research (it generally gives worst case scenario and creates severe anxiety) Listen to the professionals in our NHS. xIโve been a truant turtle and missed a few days check in.ยWeekend updateSaturday was grocery delivery day so stayed on NSDย 5/15. DS came home from football training early with a golf ball sized bump at the back of his head after a collision with a friend. Spent that afternoon on the couch with large blankets, homemade popcorn, and a Dizney film featuring a famous toy space ranger.ยSunday: Had very little in my Sunday Sweep. ยฃ10 leftover to put into an envelope for a bulk buy atย Cost.co. Also stayed on NSDย 5/15. OH, DS, and I went for a walk/play at a large outdoor green space. There was a market and it was very, very hard to resist the brownie and ice cream stall! Very.ยMonday: Stayed on NSDย 5/15 yesterday. Paid for my new passport. Sicky tapped a selfie stick to our clothes horse, slotted in my phone, set a timer for the camera, stepped back and had it take 5 trillion shots of my head and shoulders until I got a version that the passport website accepted. I was determined I wasnโt paying for the photo booth!ยToday: Iโll try to get a clear photo DS ย who also needs a new passport. Might have to sticky tape him to the clothes horse to keep him still though.Wide awake earlyย this morning.ย I have my tea in hand and have just checked my bank account. Refunds in from train delay and returns to argoz.ยItโs going to be a spend day. So staying on NSD 5/15.ยIโll hopefully get a decent photo of DS for passport application and be able to send both our old passports to the passport office. Iโll also do a top-up shop. And since itโs definitely a spend day, I think Iโll purchase DSโs sprouts day gift. We took him into Half-ordโs on Sunday to have a look and suggested he might want to include a bike in his letter to the white-bearded man. He picked the bike he liked, tried it out, so weโre good to go.ย

Good morning turtles, the rain is pouring down in Madrid and I have opened the balcony doors to let the cool air in,ย I can see the lightning strikes from where Iโm sitting.ย
Yesterday was NSD 5. A bit of a bonkers day as I had a very busy work day and then a circuits class at lunchtime and an aerial class after work. I didnโt plan two classes in one day but thatโs how it worked out. I canโt sit down on the toilet without wincing.
Grateful for rain, for bf making me dinner last night, for not feeling tired.ย
off to catch up on your posts!
