Venerus v Avis - Is This a Scam?

Which payment option did you pick then? Im waiting for my emails to come through.
Do you know if those 2 payments are for all 4 claims or just 2 of the 4?0 -
I have now received 4 emails with payments of £66.48, £152.09, £295.23 & £295.23 I had opted for Mastercard
As said above these are only from Pure Card and don't even mention Venerus or Avis.
So I cannot see which payment relates to which claim.
The 4 'invitation to claim' letters each had a different Claimant ID and confirmation code. They didn't give any specific dates just stated 'if you rented after June 12, 2008 through December 31 2015' submit a claim.
The 4 confirmation emails stated the 'Year of Rental 1: 2008' 'Year of Rental 1: 2008' 'Year of Rental 1: 2009' & 'Year of Rental 1: 2010'
I owned a property in Florida and went out 6 times a year for a two or three week period between 2003 and 2009 and sold in early 2010. - I usually rented from Dollar which is owned by Avis.
So the £295.23 payments obviously cover multiple rentals. I went out only once in 2010 for 1 week so presumably that will be the £66.48 payment(approx US$84) so at US$12 a day, well above the forecast US$6.50 + interest..
Does anyone know how the Pure Card system works. Do I pay all 4 amounts into an account?

I have received an email from Purecard for the claim and have successfully registered the card and completed the application process. It is a fiddly process and takes you to be careful when inputting details. It also took me through an identity check which need me to upload a photo of my drivers licence. The entire process takes you out of the application several times to check and respond to emails etc.
Please note that it is vital to ensure your mobile number is accurate as you need to be able to receive text verification each time you want to access your PureCard account.Hope this helps2 -

I think I might just pay the money into my gas/electricity account.

Well I now have a virtual Pure mastercard with £152-09 on it ready to spend. I filled in a form too many years ago to remember regarding a 2009 hire with Budget but didn't think it would come to anything. Result... Now, what to spend it on.0

I too was dubious when I got two emails did a bit of due diligence and decided to have a punt got two prepaid Mastercards today almost £400 in total rang the bank involved spoke to a human, office in London seems I made the right choice0

I opted for the option to pay into my bank account (I will use one that has very little in it!). So far, though, they have not been in contact to ask me the account details.
Did anyone else choose this option and got any further?0 -
I think i chose paypal, and i haven't seen anything yet either...0

I received an email gift card from Pure yesterday (backed by Mastercard?? )in settlement of my share of this claim. Has anyone else received the same? I have to register and activate it but wanted to see if others had one. It looks genuine. Who knows….0

If you scroll up page 10 you will see others have had the email from PureCard - I have had four - so they are genuine. The issue apparently is the complexity of registration and difficulty in spending the funds for some people2
