That is not a Notice of Allocation that is a request for the DQ - N180.
I am going to search if I received anything regarding  Notice of Allocation, so far nothing. Nothing saying send WS in due date.

It may say 14 days (or another duration) before the hearing date ... or it may state a specific date. Either way you need to understand exactly by when you need to send it in.

And remember - it will not mention a Witness Statement in those terms ... it will be worded similarly to my previous response.

A Notice of Allocation has the words Notice of Allocation written across the top of it.

    Something like this...

Hi Keith and Jenni, thank you so much for your replies.

I have the letter... It says

Notice of allocation to the small claims track (Hearing)

    1. Claim is allocated to small claims track

    2. parties must send copies of their WS and documents to the court and each other no later than 4pm on 18th January 2023. This inclused WS of the parties themselves as well as any other witnesses.

So I have my date and I will email it just before 18th January.

Thank you so much for helping me.

    Just an update......

Courtesy letter reminder to send WS and reports/document etc.. by 15th Feb, by post or email

Civil procedue rule 39.8 requires communications with the court must be copies to all other parties in the case. It must be clear to whim the communication has been copied and what capacity

The claimant has to pay the hearing fee by 19th Jan

So I will submit my WS pdf  and copy the claimant email address in the email on the 14th Feb.

  • As this case is for 2 pcns within 8 days apart from each other at the beginning of my WS I have included both dates the tickets were issued as follows:

"The claim refers to an incident involving a vehicle ********** on 27th September 2019 and 7th October 2019 at

What is this 'courtesy letter'? What does that mean? Who is it from?

Why do you think that's a good idea?

Earlier this week you quoted from your Notice of Allocation...
    2. parties must send copies of their WS and documents to the court and each other no later than 4pm on 18th January 2023.
I would be inclined to follow that earlier instruction unless the court instructed you otherwise.

Hi Keith, the courtesy letter is just a heads up from HM Courts & Tribunals services at my local court where I am having the hearing.

I will try and scan the letter in the morning and redact my personal info. Thanks Keith.

If this is good or just stick to 1 date of the first pcn? I think I should mention both pcns for which this case is for.

    Mention both.

Stick to the EARLIER deadline for your WS and evidence because this is an Order with MUST making it mandatory:

    2. parties must send copies of their WS and documents to the court and each other no later than 4pm on 18th January 2023.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
