How do they know who owns the vehicle? There is no list of registered owners in this country; in fact on the front of the V5C it states that holding the V5C is NOT proof of ownership!2

A notice to owner? Are you sure it says owner? Are byelaws in play at the site in question?
Please be concise and precise with information you provide here.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Not as far as I am aware of in terms of byelaws, but this is a redacted copy of the letter I was supposed to receive in relation to the parking charge. This is the first letter offering a "discounted rate" for early payment and the letter is dated 11 August, when the charge was actually "issued" on 30 October the year prior.Fruitcake said:A notice to owner? My thoughts exactly. I had provided a copy of the front of the V5C purely for identity purposes for the SAR request to Smart Parking and merely confirmed that I was the data subject. Nothing but clowns.Le_Kirk said:How do they know who owns the vehicle? A notice to owner dated today?

Not dated today, that letters date is the 11th August 2022 and apparently is the "date it was printed and added to file so may not be on letterhead and may not reflect the date of the original letter".Coupon-mad said:A notice to owner dated today?

Yet they have not provided me with any copy of the original letter which should've been sent within 14 days of me receiving the PCN, yet they have every other letter and correspondence in the SAR. Odd.0 -

Sorry I'm losing myself, blame the heat lol! What they have sent me is dated today and they confirmed that this was the day it was printed, but any originals would also be attached (there wasn't any). They'd confirmed that the copies wouldn't be on letter headed paper and the dates on them wouldn't be correct, but what's odd is that the only letter from Smart Parking to me in the SAR was to say that the discount period had expired. There is no initial notice of PCN from them and I've never received any letter from Smart Parking in relation to the PCN, only Debt Recovery Plus.Coupon-mad said:Today is 11th August 2022.0 -
