As the NCP/BWL combo are nowhere near as predictable as UKPC/DCB Legal, I don't think you should be over-optimistic about a discontinuation. That's not say it won't happen, but you could ring the allocated court now to enquire if there has been any change.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

..who are they going to pursue if the PCN is not PoFA compliant, whether because you were on land covered by byelaws or it was not compliant for any other reason...
I checked my PCN to see if it was compliant or not, as I thought it would be a double win if they werent compliant AND it was an airport covered by byelaws. I noticed a form inviting me to name the driver if I wasn't driving. I assume therefore it was compliant. It makes no odds because I dont remember, but I THINK from what I've read, I was under no obligation to provide that anyway right?

The form was there to try and trick you into giving the drivers details. As long as you didn't fill it out then they have nowhere to go with this. There is no obligation to give the drivers details in a civil lawsuit. If the claimant doesn't know the drivers details, it is up to them to find them out. They cannot "assume" you were the driver just because you are the RK.

ok I wish I had asked this first!!! so I just did this and apparently it was discontinued. I appreciate you guys help answering the questions I just asked anyway and I am hoping they will help the next person.

I never got any notification about this at all. The adviser on the phone said I should contact their solicitor to recover my costs - anyone had experience of this or is there an existing thread about this type of situation???

Yes this is explained in the NEWBIES thread about costs, but they won't pay you.

    But Yay!  ANOTHER DISCONTINUANCE!

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

That is a WIN.  Well done!

And we sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation this Summer?  Anticipated July/August.

We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA and roboclaim 'legals' gaslighting of people.

@Coupon-mad - this is a BW Legal discontinuation, so I won't record it in the DCB Legal Discontinuation thread. But, it's a good win, glad the OP phoned the court today, to give him a week's peace before the original scheduled case next week. A couple of monkeys off your back @bamme89

On what date was the discontinuation?  If it was over 7 days ago, no costs are in play.
