Thanks to the advice and resources found on this forum, I was able to fight UKPC/DCB on the matter of parking in my own allocated space.

    Took a little over 2 years for them to finally concede, but alas;

They have emailed me their Notice of Discontinuance.

Thank you for the important work you do in fighting these cowboys!
Can you post up a copy of the letter of discontinuation (suitably redacted of personal data) then I can give your case a discontinuation number.  We want to produce a list of cases to Govt, supported by shown evidence.

Well done by the way. 👍

@oddynoki knocks over the rather odd pairing of PE and DCB Legal by following forum advice and complying with the court process requirements. That's discontinuation number

@bluewater23 successfully puts clear blue water between them and the pain in the bum that was DCB Legal.

They didn't bother to tell the OP, apparently, but they had discontinued the case last month, as confirmed by the local court today.

@Help_a_girl_out used our self-help defence advice and helped herself to the expected UKPC / DCB Legal Discontinuance. Took a while... Claim first filed in Oct 2022!

@XL41BZ scrambles UKPC and DCB Legal over a silly motorcycle parking charge. Over 12 months of needless hassle.

That's now over a hundred discontinuations so far this year.

That's an average of more than one a day, or if we just consider working days, of which there were 63 since January 2nd,
we can see that average is really much nearer two a day.

And of course it has been said before, we are really only seeing the tip of the iceberg here.
There must be many many more discontinuations that aren't being counted here.

And all of it has been in plain sight of an automated court system that is so unfairly weighted in favour of claimants that it has left the CNBC and courts unable to even spot the pattern because there has been zero scrutiny.

MCOL positively enables rogue claims. Did no-one foresee the risk of a system with no human checks?

You can't run a court service that hands so much power to claimants as the MCOL 'Default CCJ credit rating detonation' button does.

All the CNBC has done recently is:

    (a) increased CCJ set aside fees (from memory) from £55 a few years ago, to £255 then £275, which looks like it was a move designed to deter Defendants from complaining about unfair default CCJs for small sums (i.e. mostly to deter parking case CCJ set asides which are a high %)

    and

    (b) bent over backwards to facilitate roboclaims and even when their service has been brought to its knees by parking claims they actually APOLOGISE in their recent auto/receipt emails and say they are expanding the service to enable more of the same.

If the MoJ & CJC can't see this, they're blind.
