Folllowed all the advice on here. DCB Legal / I PARK Services Ltd. started process against us in Sept 2024.
The Situation: Pursued through to County Court for a "parking charge" regarding an incident that lasted a total of 1 minute and 45 seconds.
After safely dropping the passenger off, immediately used the area to turn vehicle around and exited. The parking company’s own photographic evidence confirms on-site for less than two minutes.
Aggressively pursued full legal claim.
It seems highly disproportionate to use the court's time and resources over a 105-second "turn-around" where no parking actually took place.
Believe cases like this demonstrate why the government’s proposed Private Parking Code of Practice—specifically the inclusion of a mandatory 10-minute "grace period"—is so vital for protecting drivers from unreasonable claims.
Have written to local MP also. Finally ended 2 weeks before court date, with a discontination noticed attached. Thankyou for your all help and advice.

I just wanted to post this and say a big thank you to all of the forum experts, @Coupon-mad @Umkomaas @Gr1pr and others for the valuable help and guidance which helped me to fight this ridiculous parking invoice for my wife which was resurrected last year from an apparent overstay in a free car park back in 2019 by DCB Legal.
This forum and message board gave me the confidence to press on with the claim and even to go to court if necessary. All steps were followed including a mediation phone call where I had nice chat and good ol' whine to the mediator who was very sympathetic and understanding to be fair and admitted they were swamped in these types of cases! All advice to ignore certain letters and offers of settlement were dutifully ignored, culminating in the claim being dropped approximately a month before we were due in court for 31st March.
From reading a lot of the forum I know you really appreciate folks letting you know about the wins, so I just had to sign up just to send ours in to you. Thanks again!

Thank you all for your help with tackling DCB Legal, to be honest the "fine" was so long ago I can't really remember my argument but after reading this forum I decided to stick it out and went exactly as the forum describes so was more confident to fight it.
Is there anything I can do now to waste their time / money for harassing so many people for months?
