Another discontinuance from DCBL/UKPC. They dropped it even before I'd sent a witness statement and about five weeks before the hearing date! At least it saved me having to do the statement and the stress of waiting to see if they'd throw the towel in. Bunch of time wasting bullies! And all for my error of parking in an unlit closed charity shop car park with a 30min limit that for some reason was in force 24hrs and that due to how dark it was I couldn't see the signs saying that. Also where there was no parking payment required in the first place, so no loss to anyone! The charity shop was in the middle of a housing estate all on it's own as it used to be a Spar, so no reason to think they'd have camera controlled parking. 18 months this has took and many a wasted hour fighting it!

Thanks to everyone on this forum for your help and all the advice posted on here, it has been invaluable. One more win (albeit a small one) for the little man!

Well done Fred and Loxy .....You played the stupid game with DCBL, they got scared and they chickened out .....  Both BPA memers  and who would believe that when government made the BPA an ATA they never knew about the scam that follows over the years.

The BPA should have terminated UUKPC when they faked photos .... they did not, the DVLA were part of this fraud, the DVLA did nothing apart from banning UKPC for 30 days ???

Now the BPA have more money scammers as members. Right now the BPA AND INDEED THE IPV are NOT regulated they are free to do what they want, hence their own pathetic code of practice

Time is now well overdue for government to put a non money scammer in place, NOT THE BPA OR IPC

Another DCB Legal/ECP capitulation from FB. The plucky member did the work herself with minimal input from us, but they blinked first! An alleged major keying error, driver was confident of correct input and, shock horror, the nasty machine only printed out a receipt with numbers on it. Sound familiar?

That's 80 discontinuances in the space of just 72 days since we hit the 500 milestone on 24 March. And that's just cases we know about!  Appalling abuse on a human level as people are mowed down by this cash-grabbing juggernaut, as well as the truly awful abuse and time wasting of the country's overstretched courts!

And to add further shame on this shameless pair, the OP is a NHS worker, was under severe stress during the height of the COVID pandemic trying to get a tiny bit of respite from the extremely trying conditions of work on the frontline.  From the thread ....

To add insult to injury and not that it really matters, but this was post a long NHS shift in A&E, again during COVID, when the driver decided they needed to try and feel some sort of normality and take part in a socially distanced meal with work colleagues.
