Listed some things on fbk mktplace today - 2 have been collected - £10 for youngest's moneybox and £15 in my purse. A 3rd has been requested for Weds early evening 👏👏
Other things leaving - a large bag for life filled for CS with various things and a few other things whixh had been Listed on flebay but hadn't sold put in another bag for CS. Will fill 2nd bag before delivering to CS. Listed a couple of items on flebay too. All good - things are leaving here - whoop!!
Progress is still being made with the boys' bathroom - hopefully it will be finished on Weds
We're now off our energy fix so on variable rate... argh! Looking to make Sept a more frugal month.... (Aug is never particularly frugal- school uniforms, school shoes, usually some 'home' shoes and clothes for boys, usually a UK break of some description and some celebrations as well..) Sadly Sept does see MoT and service for the oldest car - and last year there was an advisory notice for its brakes...)
Thankful that we have a car fund, for line dried laundry, for selling some things, for deciding to donate some things, for a friendly bathroom fitter

Happy birthday @ldee2111, sounds like you had a lovely day 😃
Happy big birthday @beanielou, every day I've been thinking 'maybe it's today!' , so glad it's arrived & hope you had a fantastic weekend. 🎉🎂 Hope my card arrived ok
Phoned to book my ECG this morning & I got an appointment for this afternoon. I've never had one before, so didn't know about the sticky patches going on my ankles, so had to remove my tights 😂 there was me panicking in case I had to take my bra off!!! All results ok, so another test ticked off the list.
An awful day at work, involving a child with unkind hands & feet, followed by another having a tricky time. Thankfully things calmed down in the last hour!
Had to buy stamps for fleabay sales & diesel todays, so not a NSD.
Did a sewing job after tea, washed the dishes & brought the washing in to put on the airer.
Grateful for 3.30pm, dry washing, good test resultsUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Grateful yesterday for seeing ‘friendly cat’ on walk to school (she’s been absent for a while), making an old school acquaintance smile when I stopped him so DS could ask him a maths question (he was very good with numbers as a kid), kind neighbour asking if DS was ok after paramedics out, for shoe shop exchanging DS’s burst shoes without a receipt (he’d only had them for 2 months!), and for Hairy Bikemen Spanish chicken bake recipe working out well (a new one for the list!)
I’m now loaded with the cold, headache, cough, all the trimmings. DS back at school but I’ll be taking today off work.

DS3 mentioned yesterday he had not had a cold or cough for 3 years - kiddie c0vid once, but no colds due to lockdown. masks, and hand sanitizer. He goes back to school tomorrow - famous last words eh? After a fortnight rolling round in the teenage bacterial bubble that is Year 10, all bets will be off.Got #2 in college this morning, #3 has an eye test, and I am picking up a M4gic bag from 2G00d2G0 of vegan peanut cream filled chocolate bar mis-shapes and offcuts - never even knew they were a local company. Worth a punt anyway.£20 left in the bank for today, so will do a small shop to do us a couple of days, and will have to use the credit card for two back to school haircuts.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I was awakened at 7.30 this morning by the sound of something being posted through the letter box. Far too early for Postman Stevie! And there it was my brand new shiny passport. That didn't take long, did it?
Yesterday I caught up with sending emails and texts to various people. I plucked up the courage and contacted the Council about an ongoing problem with our communal area. A while ago someone fenced off a bit of land. Not very professionally and, as it turns out seemingly without permission and built a kennel for their dog (not that the dog ever spent any time in it). Well now they've moved leaving the offending structure behind and the Council gardeners can't get access to cut the grass which is now knee high. Of course, it's also becoming a magnet for every litter lout passing by. Everyone is complaining but nobody actually wants to be the one to do anything about it so I have. The Housing Officer phoned me and said she will come out on Thursday to investigate so maybe that will solve the problem.
Decluttering has been put on hold for the moment because of the bin strike. I am amazed at the number of people who despite the strike being the top item on the Scottish news and having been told not to present their bins at the kerbside are continuing to do so.
That's my moans over for today. Got lots to be getting on with.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
