NatWest joined the Truelayer Payment Provider UK in May this year. Go to Truelayer.com for a full explanation of it’s Open Banking services.Rheumatoid said:Not come across the 'Truelayer' system before. Presume it is a recognised and secure mechanism for transfers from my Natwest current a/c?1 -
Have used TrueLayer several times to move funds from my Nationwide FlexDirect Account into Zopa. Always worked easily and much simper than trying to send funds from Nationwide.Rheumatoid said:Not come across the 'Truelayer' system before. Zopa Questions - (1) £85K is the maximum allowed in Zopa Smart Saver? (not the £50k previously mentioned)(2) Should I register for Zopa online, although all I want from them is the App based Smart Saver(2) I opened a 95 day access account (95DA), moved money in from Primary account (P), and immediately gave notice to withdraw. I now wish to move more money from P to 95DA. There are 2 options - "move money" into the 95DA I already have or "add a pot" and start a 2nd 95DA. Keeping one 95DA seems the best option if they pay the same interest as opening a 2nd 95DA. Will new money "moved" into 95DA be available to withdraw at the end of the original notice period? In effect they are paying a 95 day interest rate on money that won`t be there for 95 days. Is there a limit to the number of times I can "move" money? Is there a time limit on "moving money in" eg can I move money in with less than a month to go on my notice period and thus earn a 95 day interest rate on this new money and be able to withdraw at the end of my original notice period?0

Yes, new money moved into a notice pot after notice is given becomes available when the original notice period ends. I have done this with a 95 day notice pot.where_are_we said:Zopa Questions - (1) £85K is the maximum allowed in Zopa Smart Saver? What happens at the end of a notice period, does it carry on being accessible whilst still attracting the top rate?0

The pot reverts to the instant access rate and moves from your boosted pot list to access pot. You can then choose to boost again, leave or move the money to different pots.cedge43 said:What happens at the end of a notice period, does it carry on being accessible whilst still attracting the top rate?2 -
You do need to have a mobile number. Why don't you get a PAYG sim, similar circumstances to you and got one from RWG mobile, topped it up with £5 and job done. Credit doesn't run out, unless you use it obviously.cloud_dog said:Hi...This may sound a strange question but....
Do you need to have a mobile number in order for Zopa app / connectivity to function correctly?
Was thinking of the options for opening an account for me dear 'ole ma, and I have a spare mobile but no sim and would simply use it over wifi. I could set it up via my mobile, but am trying to keep things separate (as I deal with her finances / PoA).0
