Valli.. that is really good news. I hope you are soon healed enough to gt rid of those plasters and have a lovely shower.
Jazee.. so pleased littleydog is home safe and I hope hers and MrIonas recoveries are going well.
Fayolle.. that is poop.. Can you not get a hire car on the insurance? We had free hire cars when ours was crumpled and needed fixing but on some policies the cost of the hire car will be covered through your insurance in the case of uninsured drivers causing an accident, others will claim on the uninsured persons assets.. it is worth asking before cancelling the holibobs.
Moomin is stressed.
Dot was WILD when we picked her up from school.. Twinkle took forever to come out.. she seemed to have been taking as much time as possible in the loo because she will miss it!! Pixie was a bit wobbly emotionally and Twinkle didn't even seem to notice. Hopefully Dot will calm down in a few days..
are hot tubs any use? I'm thinking it might help with Squeaks tics and anxiety.. It might relax her a bit and help calm her.. but I am never sure and have to over-think things.DW been ondry washing incat yakked on my bed so we have clean bedding.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -

Hi all
Oh Fayolle what a nightmare, I thought the same as Pigpen but then I guess that if there was any way that you would have saved the holiday you would. Much love for DD too, DS is due for more tests but he doesnt know yet, he is happily holidaying in Spain with GF.
Up late, did some yoga, ate bacon and eggs then had a shower and de-limescaled the bathroom. Discussed going to the garden centre which has gardens to walk around and a cafe then decided to stay home and save the money. The house is not too bad but there are bits of flying to do and I have a good library book to read.
I might make lasagnes for tea and do a bit of baking. Its lovely here, warm and sunny without being too hot, but light rain is forecast later.
Have a good Saturday all x9 -
Last dance class, musical theatre done for this term.Last swimming done2x WM1 load hung outOH loaded DW
My hayfever is horrendous today.. i want to peel my itchy face off and feed my nose to the cat.
I have a bundle of christmas bits arrived and some hopefully comfy sandals for me. I am really struggling to find which fit and don't hurt my painful bones or itrritate my super sensitive skin this year. I got OH some new shorts too because I am sick of him wearing the ones with a broken zip.. no one needs to see what is beyond that!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Fayolle sorry to hear about your car.
Valli hope the big goodbye went ok
Did a bit of flying at S and gf flat yesterday when I picked up middle child, made him help.
Today I've done rather well by my standards:
Toilets cleaned
Downstairs all hoover and mopped
Bathroom floor hoovered and washed
My bedroom hoovered.
Sides all wiped over in LR
Window frames etc all wiped in LR including the opening bits
Sofas/chair all hoovered
My undercounter freezer has died. Tried defrosting it yesterday but that didn't work. So I've sorted other freezer, given some bits to a couple of friends that I know we won't use; feed some old rolls to birds. Will need to sort a new one but we can cope with just the FF for a short time.
Going to look at some reviews now and also some car and home insurance quotes as both due very soon. Hate doing that sort of thing. Would much rather be gardening! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair8 -
Oh my...I have missed you all....
Can I rejoin please? I'll try to read back and catch up x10 -
Dizzy!!! You're home!! Welcome back xx
Off to find my bed.. Squeak was amazing in her show, we could hear her singing over 3 with microphones and about 15 others.. She has so much volume when she needs to. She also heard her first song karaoke style from the pub as we were leaving.. she was very impressed.. not!!

Morning all,
It’s a dull and breezy day here, so I am going to try to catch up on some jobs. Try being the operative word, as I am more than willing to be distracted.
Welcome back, Dizzy!
Well done, Squeak!
Lots of GWS to all poorlies and to those looking after poorlies x
Today’s jobs / more likely aspirations are:
sort more washing
HHI x zillion
run smelly dw
vacuum quickly around - I have used the hot weather as the reason not doing so and now I am sick of wading through detritus
plant out some lettuce babies
give the tomato plants a stern taking to - I want red tomatoes!
meal plan - I seem to be struggling with this atm.
DH is going to the allotment to pull yet more weeds from the concrete ground. Planting is impossible but the weeds keep coming. DD due home from her latest festival tomorrow - she has had the tickets since pre lurgy, so I’m glad that they finally got there.
First - better get dressed.
Have a good day all x8 -
Oh my goodness you dont need to ask .. runs to give Dizzy a hug, I seem to think things were a bit cr@ppy with you last time we saw you, so hope things are better now x
Well done Squeak x
Feeling a bit out of sorts this morning, yes probably because it's Sunday which means paid stuff tomorrow. Have done a big supermarket shop and managed to get a delivery tonight which is good. We were supposed to be cycling but not sure DH is feeling up to it so we will see. Weather looks a bit iffy.
DW emptied, doggie blankets thrown in WM for a quick wash. I need more coffee and some food.8 -
