working from home - can't shower so don't particularly want to do 'people'. Developed a seroma. Paper stitches have rubbed off so large plaster has been applied.
Too hot to clean. Didn't switch washer on properly so that can run tonight instead.

Kaz.. audiolgy clinics are a nightmare. My GP has refused to even do me a referral despite moderate hearing loss being picked up in a test at 2 separate private clinics. My other has 4 weekly appointments because she has psoriasis in her ears and they have to be scaled otherwise the heaing aids don't work. She went months over the last couple of years until she threw a wobbler on the phone.. it is hideous how they treat patients, like hearing isn't important!! I hope you can get them sorted soon
Off to fling some washing in.. there is a mountain!

Sorry to hear of poorly pooch, pets do not like this weather do they.
Sitting with my feet in a bowl of cold water with the fan on whilst working - I work full time from home.
Watered the back garden early am and have put WM on twice. DS28 and GF (who live in a flat) are away OS working atm but GF comes home this weekend so I picked up all their washing yesterday, stripped their bed, towels etc so it's all being done before she gets home as I know she is then full on back at work which involves overnights away. I'll iron her work uniform late tonight or early tomorrow.
Mogs all indoors.
Took DS20 to see consultant this morning, he needs to go back Thursday for MRI. DS26 staying at DS28's flat whilst they are away.

Waves to Dustykitten from hols.
Only flying here was dropping in to Mr M on our way back from doing the Chee Vale walk. We started early and kept to the shady river gorge. Beautiful, 15800 steps and I swam in the river.

A load of towels in the wm first thing before work. Another smaller load in this evening and now on the line. It will be dry before bed time. Quick stir fry cooked for dinner and kitchen dailies halfheartedly done. Twot for anything else. Tomorrow afternoon is hospital with DD, just when the heat is forecast to be at its finest. The appointment is still going ahead. I have brought some work home to do for the morning as I have already decided that it is going to be too hot to garden or fly (my usual day off tasks) so I might as well get paid for a couple of hours work, as long as I feel like it.YL - re travel insurance. We did the exact same thing for DD for her recent trip away. It gave us peace of mind if nothing else.
Iona - are you ok? x6 -
Good to see you, Dusty!
Yes, I am OK, thank you Fayolle. Just hot and tired of this summer and envious of Narc0 and MrN.
DH is still in the horse piddle. His blood test came back OK, but the Dr does not like the look of the oedema. Maybe DH will be home tomorrow. He had nearly run out of shorts and T-shirts so asked me to take some in. I really did not want to drive during the hottest part of the day, but I took his car which has decent aircon and was fine. I found a car park space just about 50 yards from the entrance, and most of the path was in shade.
This morning I took Rosie for an early walk in the woods, watered the pots and brought in the remainder of yesterday's washing which had dried overnight. Then I finished off the Gift Aid claim that I had started last week. Apart from that and going to the horse piddle, I haven't done a great deal: FUPA washing, put plates in the DW
The large dormers mean that it has got very hot upstairs, so I have opened the windows in an attempt to find a breeze, and am hoping not to get any bugs or moths flying in. I might try to finish off another job before I have a shower and go to bed. No, on second thoughts I will leave it until the morning - I need daylight to read Excel files!
I need to go downstairs again to fetch my phone and put it on charge. C'est la vie.9 -

Morning all.
I was up more in the night with Littleydog than I was with DGD2. She is still asleep, zonked from the heat.
I won't get much flying done today while baby is here but I have already put a wash load on.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9
