Morning all xx
Gentle hugs to Littleydog- is it the heat? xx
I'm in the red zone and soooo glad that I had today already booked off as Annual Leave. This afternoon the curtains and windows will be closed and I'll watch the athletics / read my book.
It worked yesterday- although the forecast is a few degrees higher today..40° 😳. It was a mere 37° here yesterday. Supertwot!!!
I'm up, made my bed and had a brew.
I may get dressed - I suppose I should as I'll need to replenish the bird bath and hedgehogs dish through the day....so I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling too.
Please take care everyone.

Good morning all
DH has just asked if I have had a nice lie-in. Ummmm no - I’ve been up since 7am, have one load of washing done and outside, stripped the bed, and bedding in the wm, done HHI whilst the kitchen is relatively cool, and picked some lettuce in the shade. So he didn’t hear me then!
Dentist appointment rearranged, I might do a bit of wfh, then it is the dreaded car insurance renewal to sort.We have a lovely breeze out at the moment and are not in the red zone, so my cooling thoughts go out to all of you with much higher temperatures than here.Stay cool xx10 -
I have the flat pool out.. it is like a puddle.. but it is perfect for tiny fluffies and flapperdoos which seem very thankful of the liquid.
I have furry puddles all over the house, mostly outside DS2's room.. I have a small litter tray which I filled with water for them in their pen and they have water in the kitchen and they love taps. Hazel has a beaker which has to be topped to brimming and she drinks tiny bits.My foxy bowl out the front is replenished. Do they need food out? I don't want to encourage them to bin raid so I am never sure whether to put them some food scraps which may attract vermin or just let them be to forage.
2x WM to get turned one. I forgot to put them on last night.
Pixie has gone to school with 2 bottles of juice but she is far from ok. I calpol'd her and said school are not under any circumstances other than fire, allowed to let her outside today. Twinkle is complaining about tummy ache so she needs to be watched carefully and Dot won't tell you anything is wrong she will just collapse. I am hoping they are all ok. Squeak went off quite merrily in her long trousers and long sleeve shirt.. I did get her to remove her jumper that's a win! (It is in her bag!)
I finished knitting the bits for my animal blanket last night so now I Need to sew them all together and to their squares and then get that constructed.
DS2 got his cost of living (COL) payment today so that is going off some bills.. Boog should be getting theirs shortly so that can go off utilities too. It makes it so much easier to pay extra food costs when I don't have council tax or water to pay for the remainder of the year..

On the plus side at least I no longer have the sweaty area of the larger chested ladies given I am no longer larger chested. Every cloud...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Valli.. try putting your feet in cool water and damp cloth on the back of your neck. You could put shirts ni the freezer and alternate which you're wearing

Halfway through bill juggling and have 2 loads of washing I do not want to hang out.

Hope you manage to cool down Valli.
DD arrived so I popped to shop for bread. There were only two other idiots out, but I need to eat.
I'm hoping Littleydog dog is poorly because of the heat which we can manage. If her symptoms are caused by her new drugs for arthritis we'll need to look at changing again.
Poppet is six today.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Bread has taken up residence in the fridge.. If I wanted furry bread I'd eat a cat-loaf..
Washing still recumbant in the basket.. and in 2 machines.. I am not going out there it is waaaay to bright.. I get all squinty and then I get wrinkles.
Puddles of puss everywhere.
My feet are clammy.. I hate having clammy trotters..

Fayolle I am sure we live in parallel universes. I have sorted my car insurance too - about £80 less than the automatic renewal price. And I have bought travel insurance for DS, I am not even going to tell him. Pigpen hope the girls are all OK x
Valli it must be awful when you just want to get in the shower, hope it's not long before you can x
5.5 hours at the paid stuff and home now for a bit, I have to go back for a meeting but I am not working this afternoon. I have decided its just too hot. Hair appointment moved to next week.
Sheets in WM and kitchen bin emptied. That's it. Oh and I have done spicy chicken in the SC to have with salad in wraps for tea.
