Morning all
We have had three more chicks hatch in the last 24 hours, thankfully hens make good mummies (as opposed to ducks!) so the chicks are being well cared for. Last time we hatched using an incubator indoors - nature has taken its course this time and they’ve all hatched outside which is lovely to see.
I need to do more decorating today, and more laundry. I’m battling thrush (sorry if
TMI) so will be trying to ignore that too…
Have fab days all xx

GWS Pixie and Twinkle xx
Congratulations on the hatchlings, asband GWS to you too x
I have had a rough night but not as rough as the previous two. Woke up at 4.00 with my right knee, hip and elbow all hurting at once: have they come out in sympathy with DH? Finally managed to get back to sleep for an hour or so, but with lots of weird dreams, mostly about house renovation - must have been watching too much of George Clarke! But at least I have a bit of energy to start the day. Rosie has gone back to sleep.
One load of washing is out (hopefully that's all) and I have a cuppa and Internet connection at last - that too is playing up. Light rain is a possibility this morning and/or at 10.00 tonight. I shall have to water (and try to remember to feed) the pots; meanwhile the rest of the garden is looking very sad, and I even fear for my lovely Michaelmas daisies.
After doing breakfast I must
- make some cakes (in case of visitors)
- while they're cooking, shower and dress
- water the pots
- hoover and dust through downstairs
- make the beds
- S&S bathroom and ensuite
- do 2 big admin jobs
DS2&Co are moving today and tomorrow. I'm glad it's cooler for them. Wish I could have helped... though no renovations necessary8 -
DW x 1 WM x 2
we have light rain here - doesn’t feel any cooler though but the gardens, no doubt, will be thankful.
And hopefully the tinder-dry vegetation will no longer be dry and less of a fire risk.
Black bin out - only a third full

DH had a much-needed shower last night, 2 weeks since his last one. That was why I had to do another load of washing overnight!
Quick update from me - if it's gone, it's done:
- S&S bathroom
- water the pots
- make a cuppa
- do 2 big admin jobs
I also moved the furniture in the LR round (removing an unused footstool and putting the garden chairs outside, even if they get damp) to make it more visitor-friendly and cleaned the French windows.
Talking of which, any word from Mademoiselle lately, or is she on the move too?
Jazee, I hope the vet was able to help Littleydog x
ETA second update

Walking done, windy but not cold, just cooler than a couple of days before.Grass cut back lawn, as it is green and growing, I've always thought there is an under ground stream, owing to how green it is I think I might be right, the front lawn is brown nad crispy. I pulled up all the dead poppies, the wild garden now looks even more awful than before, it needs a load of gentle rain for a long period of about 5 days then warm weather to see what germinates.Hearing aids were retubed yesterday, right ear is fine, left ear the anchor keeps popping out, looking carefully at it, I think the anchor is in back to front, so I'll trot back this afternoon and get it adjusted, I have tried as I am sure it is a simple job.GWS vibes and hugs all round xxxBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hello all.
Trying to plod along here with usual work and plans but Littleydog is still at the vet and is having surgery later today.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
(((Hugs))) Jazee x Hope all goes well for Littleydog.10

Fingers crossed for Littleydog from here too.
Much cooler and dull here but the house is boiling, which is really odd. I have just got in from the paid stuff and opened every window in the hope that I can get some air in. I found myself putting my hand on a radiator just in case!
One load of washing to bring in and put away, another load just gone in. There is some flying to do but I am having a brew first. Its been a tough week at the paid stuff and I am tired, tea is curry out of the freezer so that's easy.
I will have an hour or so flying then its feet up with my library book I think.11 -
Oooh Littleydog.. I hope all goes/has gone well.. hugs for you all xxx
I've knitted birds today.. I really should gt my act together and be back flying.. however, my non-painful right knee is playing up.. and with Pixie off and af and a migraine threatening I have watched youtube videos and knitted..
