Morning all
Valli, DH is also wondering how soon he can peel off his dressing. He is doing one-side-only showers atm, which I suppose is a 50% improvement on none at all.
So far today I have
- eaten breakfast prepared by DH
- showered and dressed
- decluttered one spongebag (aka mail order "gift wrapping" from a well known bath products chain) and several plastic ducks from the bathroom drawer to go to CS - I kept the posh ducks like James Pond and the Welsh dragon
- made my bed
- picked up a couple of little bits of Rosie's fluff from the study floor
- tidied and hoovered the LR
- finished off 3 cakes (as in filled/iced, not eaten) and sliced them before freezing
- fileed DW, WUDUPA other bits, S&S'd kitchen and mopped floor
- opened the post and discarded all junk mail
- started the admin
- made a cuppa to wake DH up - he went back to bed after breakfast
We have had gentle rain all night and the open areas of the garden are looking damp and happy
Must plod on with the admin now..

Hi all
Dull and cool here, an odd spot of rain but not enough to give the garden a proper drink.
Finished the paid stuff at 2.30pm and took myself off to a village nearby and did a 4.5 mile walk on my own that I havent done before. Pleased that I managed to navigate the route I planned without incident and even more pleased that I braved the field of cows and calves even though my heart was thumping as one very large mother cow eyed me suspiciously.
Oh and I called at the shop for milk and went a little mad and spent £6.80 on a bottle of wine and big bag of crisps. Thats my Friday night sorted.9 -
What a week! It has raced by, but one I could have done without.
An uninsured driver smashed the back of our car on the way to the hospital with DD. So much damage. We are all ok though, and even made it to the hospital appointment with time to spare. Car is poorly, just what we didn’t need. It is likely to take so long to get repaired that this weekend I need to set about cancelling our holiday at the beginning of September, when we were taking the car to Mademoiselle land for the first holiday in 3 years.
Hospital was ok, another appointment in a fortnight which will be the scarier one.
Work busy and stressful, DH stressed (car and work), DD away for the weekend.
I’d like to rewind to last weekend and start again, but then I would have to endure the heat all over again, so maybe not.
And breathe…it’s Friday, we are all ok, even better I have sole remote access to the tv.
Gentle virtual hugs to Valli, and to Iona xx

Wow Fayolle, what a week.Well, Littleydog has just arrived home after two stressful days and now missing an organ, but I am so relieved. There were times yesterday when the vet didn't think she'd make it.
So a bit of work and very little flying done here.
Tomorrow I am looking after DGD1 so very little flying again.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
