Petrol Prices

Presumably that also explains why the dollar euro exchange rate has also sunk so low that it is now 1 for 1?qwert_yuiop said:
As well they might, since Brent crude is now down to $92, which is 25% less than March. The problem now is how badly the pound is doing against the dollar. When the pound sinks, exports are expected to rise. That’s not happening the way it should - now why do you think that might be? With four prime ministers in six years, the U.K. is starting to look like a country with problems. Something wrong when the euro loses badly against the dollar, and the pound loses value against the euro? Something else wrong.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

It may not be long before it’s 1:1 dollar pound as well.
In previous euro problems, the pound maintained some semblance of stability - a sort of “cleanest dirty shirt”, “least unattractive girl in town” phenomenon. Not this time.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -
Petrol down to 149.9ppl now locally. Oil prices softening too. Fingers crossed that continues on both accounts.0

Absolutely, it’s creeping in the right direction. I’m told coal prices have doubled in the past year even though it isn’t supplied from Europe.motorguy said:Petrol down to 149.9ppl now locally. Can’t imagine gas price is going to fall in the foreseeable.1 -
Back up to $97 a barrel in the last few days. I wonder how long that rise will take to feed through to the pumps?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

The other factor at this time of year is diesel gets a bit dearer compared to petrol as the demand for heating oil goes up. Not that there’s much you can do about it, apart from use your bicycle more often.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0
