Only biological powder. See here "should I buy a cold fill machine"

Yes, bio powder is the powder which is MOST affected by heating up with the machine. Now I've checked, the non-bio powder isn't much affected (sorry for inaccuracy). But all cold fill machines have a longer wash time (which can be inconvenient) which gives a far better wash, says my oracle!

Just bought a beautiful new Miele washer! WOW!
It weighs a tonne so hopefully won't dance about the kitchen like old one.

Anyway I wanted to give you my Money saving tip.....:money: I could have had my old washer taken away for £14.99 with the company I got my Miele from, rang the council and they also wanted £15 to take it away.
Being a tight a**e i decided to put it on ebay for 99p as spares or repairs.....
It has just sold for £11 so I'm delighted! Guy coming to collect it so effectively I have saved £15 and made £11! I'm so proud of myself I feel really smug!:T

pretty sure they are now german had a whirlpool washer dryer repaired rather a lot lasted 3 years, bought a smeg but they share the same service engineers and parts again only lasted just under 4 years repaired constantly in the last year. This was only a washer but parts were expensive and difficult to get hold off. Now have a hotpoint probably just as bad as all the rest and will probably not last more than 5 years. I have never had a machine last longer than 4 years and that includes a bosch!!!

Our Bendix washer was a wedding present in 1991 and hasn't had a single thing go wrong...until now. I would say that was a reasonable purchase!

Saw some quite nice LG machines in Currys this evening but as I have no idea what the reliability is like I will probably go for a Zanussi from Boots.

Had a guy aroung yesterday to look at my dishwasher, came with the house (integrated,it sucks) and he has been fixing appliances for 20 years. He said he would no longer recommend Hotpoint appliances but he uses Bosch a lot. We will probably go for a Siemens again as they are doing a 5 year guarantee.
Too many children, too little time!!!

We use to buy Hotpoint everything, after a faulty fridge and dishwasher I wouldn't buy them again.

Mind you, if you can manage to get it into your car to fly tip it you might as well take it round to the council tip where they won't charge you
