were staying here to help look after someone living with dementia, so I'm sure you can imagine how that's going, it could be much worse,
Its atleast a 6 week recovery from.the op but were only staying whilst they are in hospital, we put everything in place months ago so that they would have the support when they get out but the two of them cancelled it so goodness knows what they will do, but that ain't gonna be my problem.3 -
Today the plan is for another easy day, were noticing too much going on can cause agitation,
What we did do last night was have a wee coorie in night, blankets on the couch with ice cream and sweets and a wee sing a long to Calamity Jane, the person were with hasnt watched a film in years, but I reckoned that was cause it was always the latest fast moving films, they watched the whole thing last night and sang a wee bit.
Tonight we may try something else dementia friendly, old photos are a good talking point, we do that several times a day as it is but it's usually one or two pics the individual carry's about with them maybe tonight we will get the album out.
Was in our bed for 10.30 last night as the individual kept coming down stairs until we went up, we were getting chased up to bed4 -
That sounds a lovely night, glad you found something that kept their attention for a wee while.Mortgage OP 2025 £6750/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

It was a lovely wee night, they seemed to enjoy themselves, today they are in their shorts and sunbathing,
Having lost and re found money was a bit agitating for them, but we calmed the situation down very quickly, as I explained to Mr El just go with it, dont make mountains out of mole hills and understand although they have asked you the same question lots of times for them it's their first, hes learning a lot about the disease.
They are loving Mr El cooking for them ( the person currently doing the cooking just about manages fish fingers and chips) so weve been eating tasty salads with chicken and things, they've not stopped eating and it's great to see, Mr Els head wont fit through the door soon with all the compliments hes been getting4 -
Good that Mr El is with you and helping instead of leaving you to it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @savingholmes , tbh none if it is my responsibility it is actually Mr El's so if anyone is helping anyone it's me helping him lol .... but we've always been a team and worked together, in the past when things have been my responsibility he has always done what needs doing, and vice versa, we work well together4
