Switch is OK though not had any text updates, incentive paid yesterday for switch on the 02/08. Also can confirm Bank of Scotland to Halifax does qualify.
It was a BoS you switched?
I've not got my incentive for switch due 01/08 :/

Yes it was a BoS that was switched into the Halifax Reward, the 2 DD are now showing on Halifax.

Looks like only 1 DD switched, one failed to pull in time. Senility? Bank error ? That'll teach me to wait until they've pulled rather than rely on target date.

Started another switch due 08/08 with DDs already in place and pulled.

Eta Got the incentive today... It's early for the 2nd and late for the first - so not sure if the first qualified after all..

  • If you downgrade the account and previously had the £5 reward for £5000 in the account, can you take the £5000 out straight away and still get the £5 for the previous month? I know the T&C's state that if you close the account you will lose the previous reward if done before it is paid (so won't be downgrading until after the 12/08 payment) but unsure if the £5000 needs to be kept in it? Did ask Halifax on Facebook and weren't very helpful saying you need to phone them.

The reward is always paid for the previous month in arrears. If you've qualified for the Jul reward, there's no need to keep the money in the account unless you plan to qualify for the Aug reward. You can withdraw today and receive your Jul reward on the 12th - just keep your account open until then

As an existing reward curent account customer, I get an error when switching online:

"Something has gone wrong with one of our systems- You can try re-submitting again now. If that doesn't work, it may be better if you try again later."

Seems to be a known Lloyds banking group issue:

Used a different browser and also the same problem when a different custmoer I know
    tried.

Can anyone help with the condition that you have to start your switch by 5th September?
Can I start the switch to the Halifax by choosing a completion date of the 8th September, as the switch would have to start before the 5th to meet that date.

Probably. Why can't you switch finish by the 5th and be certain?

Does anyone know if two direct debits I recently set up in the account I am switching from would be classed as "active" even if no payment has been taken yet ( the first payment for each one will be taken after the switch happens) ?
