Yes I know but they are actual separate banks. I'm guessing the member of staff is saying similar to HSBC, 1st Direct & M&S where they are aggregated but separate banks and their offers never excluded customer who held the other accounts (until I think 1 recent switch).

Don't have a link as use my sisters Facebook as I don't have it, but this is what they said "As Bank of Scotland are a separate bank, providing you meet the listed conditions of the offer, you should receive the incentive. ^Colin B"

Would myself and my husband switching a sole account each from Lloyds into our existing Halifax Joint Reward qualify for 2 payments, or just one?0

You would only get 1 incentive as switching into a joint, if you switched into 2 soles you would both be able to get it.
Further to the Bank of Scotland I have also received confirmation from Halifax on Twitter that you would be eligible "Thanks for getting in touch & thinking about us for your new account. You'll be eligible for the reward by switching from Bank of Scotland. Full details on the offer can be found on our website: http://spr.ly/6011zviYL. I hope this helps. ^Jimmy".1 -

Yes, I saw that, but we would be switching 2 sole accounts into an existing joint. So 2 separate customers.
We can of course switch to 2 new sole accounts.
Is there a minimum time we have to have the new accounts open?
I think the sole/joint thing is not that clear, we are 2 customers.0 -

I'd reccomend you each open a sole account and grab the bonus that way. As above, joint accounts are only eligible for 1 payment, so you'd be missing out.

I received my incentive today before I'd met all the criteria. My switch has not yet completed and I've not paid in £1,500. Well done Halifax!0

Is there anything in the T&Cs that would prevent me from closing this account after I am paid the £150 incentive?
Trying to avoid the hassle of having to move in and out £1500 each month to prevent a £3 monthly fee,0
