Also I know this is nothing more then expensive toilet paper, but this bit "you may also be liable to pay our client's costs in addition to the sums already claimed", haven't they already added their costs to make the claim £295.72, also what costs, they're unlikely to even turn up to court in the first place2

the bit about a "likely" ccj is wrong as well...3

It's all part of the same threatogram chain ... almost everyone gets one.Jenni x6

@Jenni_D I can see if how scary they'd be if I didn't know about this forum, and get the support to see through the threats.
A couple of friends I've spoken to all seem to have stories where they say "they where forced to pay a bill because if I didn't I was going to get a CCJ", I'd love to see the annual accounts of these crooks

Pretty healthy I'd say:-https://www.racfoundation.org/media-centre/private-parking-on-course-to-be-billion-pound-industry"Steve Gooding, director of the RAC Foundation, said:“If only the rest of the economy was booming like the private parking sector, perhaps we’d all be feeling more prosperous.“Private parking looks set to be a billion pound-a-year business, if it isn’t already, with demands for up to £100 a time being sent out to drivers at the rate of more than one every three seconds."

The DVLA seem to be doing ok out of it also:-
"Data from the DVLA suggests drivers are set to receive more than 11 million penalties in private car parks this financial year, 2022-23.
Already, in the first three quarters of the year, 8,564,762 vehicle keeper records have been bought by the companies from the DVLA."

And the 11 million+ doesn't include all the windscreen PCNs paid or appealed early, where DVLA data isn't needed...
It will be well over 12 if not 13 million all told.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
