    There isn't a deadline on a skelly.  The week before is reasonable.

    I'm putting the folder together today and because I needlessly obsess over everything, I've got a folder with 12 dividers for me and the judge, and I'm going to put them in the below number order, is that OK? It probably doesn't matter but I've come this far with advice

    1. Draft Order
    2. Skelly
    3. Witness Statement
    4-7. Exhibits 01-04
    8-11. 4No Case Laws
    12. Cost Assessment

    @Coupon-mad not to single you out, but as you've been so kind and responsive; I just wanted to do my final checks before I hunker down and spend a couple hours each night revising my case;

    Tomorrow I'm going to drop my folder to the courts, I've giving the judge those items neatly filed and arranged that I mentioned in the post above. I assume there will be some sort of reception which I simply just hand them over to and tell the case reference, then they have everything they need?

    the scumbags (BWL), I think I found out, but do I just email them with the case reference, and attach just my WS + exhibits? or do they need anything else like my skelly? draft order etc?

    Usually, anything you're filing with the court should be served on the other party.

    I'd have the claim number and date and time of the hearing written in bold on the actual front of the folder (not just inside) so it can't be misfiled.

    Just got back from dropping of the folder to the courts. Word of advice for anyone who happens to read back through this and go to Southampton court, I had to post it into their letter box, which was a struggle to get the folder into. I managed to get it in at the cost of a bit of knuckle skin, but definitely wouldn't have got it in if I didn't use a slim A4 folder

    Also found it beneficial seeing the building, takes away those nerves of going into the unknown

    But on the plus side, Southampton courts are a graveyard for these companies!

    Morning All

    @Taiko no pressure then  :D

    I'm just about to serve BWL, does anyone know if its OK to send it to their parking@BWLegal address? I'm not going to attach the case laws because of the email size and they can dig them out, but I'm going to serve them with the witness statement, draft order, exhibits, skeleton and cost assessment?

    I might leave out the Experian and COP attachments as well from my skeleton? or just serve them the lot?

    Anything (with very limited exceptions) you file with the court in respect of a claim must also be served on the other party. So if you're including any of those items in your court submission then you also need to include them in the BWL email(s).

    As to address for service ... I would have expected a legal@ or similar address? 🤷‍♀️
