Thank you SH. 'Reclaiming your space and life again' - that's a great way of putting it.

Pottering
It's been a gentle day of pottering and working through my To Do List:
Health- went for a 45 minute dog walk first thing
- had Avocado on Toast with Chorizo & Fried Eggs for breakfast, leftover soup for lunch and a Prawn & Avocado Salad for supper
- chores done - cleaned the spare bedroom, washed the mattress and pillow protectors from the guest rooms
- still no sign of the Homes for Ukraine money 😢
- it's been an NSD
- listened to an audio book whilst doing the chores
- prepped a canvas for my show painting and printed off some reference photos
- the nail varnish arrived today 🥳 so I've a fun evening ahead sorting out the old ones - I know how to party 😆
It's an early night for me tonight - I'm exhausted 🥱 I think the excitement of the last weeks has finally caught up with me.
Happy Friday everyone

It's going to be part of our WI's competition entry at the county show SH.

I had a very relaxed day yesterday which I mostly spent painting 🥳 Mr F went out on his bike for the afternoon so I had a few quiet hours to absorb myself in the show painting - bliss!
We had a cheese and salad wrap for lunch (Mr F took his out with him) and Salmon with New Potato & Corn Salad & Basil Dressing for supper. The salad came from the veg patch. We are having to water the veg patch every day now as it's so dry.
MS-wise:- I used the JL vouchers to buy some new pillows. I choose the cheapest natural ones and had to add £25 to the cost which will come out of this month's contingency budget
- chased up the Council for the Homes for Ukraine payment - 72 days now 😢
Stay cool everyone.

It's raining, it's pouring...
...and it's making me very happy 😁 When I checked the weather forecast last night it was due to be cooler but dry in the Shire. This morning's forecast gave us a 26% chance of rain. But, we got lucky! Our lawn area is absolutely parched and needs a drink. It's stopping now but was quite heavy for about 15 minutes so I'm hoping that some of that soaks into the ground. It gives me a day off from watering at least.
I've spent the last few days trying to keep myself and FDawg cool and doing very little. Mr F has been away on business so not much cooking has been required and meals have been mainly salad based. I have done quite a lot of work on my show painting and it's about 70% complete. I'm out and about for the next couple of days but I should be able to complete it at the weekend. One of my show projects may not be needed now so I'm feeling a little more relaxed about things.
I've got a hair cut booked for this afternoon and Mr F is coming home. Apart from that, I need to run the vacuum round - couldn't face it during the heat and FDawg is shedding hair like a yeti 😲
First I need to walk him though. Having had some success with learning Ukrainian with Du0ling0, I have decided to revisit Spanish. I learnt many, many years ago but thought I'd revise it and am using FDawg's walk to practice. It's coming back quite quickly.
Oooh - it's raining again and quite heavily 😁
Hasta luego

Glad you're celebrating rain. My grass is yellow! I have been keeping my pretty bedding plants alive now - and giving my apple trees the odd drink.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
