We had three separate downpours in the end SH - very much needed.

Herding Cats
I went to a meeting today with the WI Show Team - there are only six of us but it was chaos 😆 It all came together in the end though and I think our entries will look great by the time we've finished. I picked up some actions:- finish my acrylic painting
- paint a back board for one of the displays
- spray paint some plastic plates to look like golden platters
- make up some themed labels for our produce items.
We had Creamy Kholrabi Soup for lunch but fish and chips for supper! 🥳 Costs were met from this month's fun money.
Chased the Council again yesterday for the Homes for Ukraine money. Heard back from the Head of the Department who said she couldn't understand why I hadn't been paid because I'd made it to the "Hosts Payment Sheet" 🙄 I'm certain that putting someone's name down on an Excel spreadsheet does not magically result in a payment being made, however, I bit my tongue. She said she'd look into it as a matter of urgency but I've heard nothing again today and the balance of my bank account is still lower than it should be 😢
Money has been spent today - dog food, dog treats, toiletries and materials to finish my show projects. All budgeted for though.
The grocery shop arrived - £6.91 under budget. I'm astounded that the food budget is holding. However, we're eating a lot from the veg patch at the moment and that's probably keeping costs down.
That's it I think.
Happy Friday all.
