Elisheba said:Hello @Fortune_Smiles! I have just found your diary and I don't know how I managed to miss it before
I'll have a proper read through when I get some time.
Sewing sounds very exciting. I have a sewing machine but it has been years since I did anything with it - maybe I should watch some Sewing Bee and get inspired :-). Sorry to hear about your arm problem - I hope its starts getting better son.
I've only just found you too Elisheba 😁 I'm up to Series 5 of S£wing B££ now. I've always liked the programme but I'm watching it with a new 'eye' now I've become a stitcher. I may embark upon pyjama bottoms today 😲 My shoulder is marginally better this morning and I'm not up to much else.... which is an excellent excuse to sew 😆savingholmes said:Glad you're enjoying the sewing machine.
Hope your shoulder improves quickly.
Thank you SH. Shoulder is improving but very, very slowly 🙄 I know I need to rest it but there's so much I want to be doing. I have a party to go to on Saturday so I've an incentive to be good.

Ooh Pyjama trousers with pockets. I have a pattern too, so I may have to join you once my machine arrives (Janome ordered
). Hope your shoulder feels better soon.

Pyjama bottoms did happen Sandy but not the ones with the pockets 🙄 When I read the pattern, I realised JL had sent me the child's version instead of the adults. I thought I'd make a rookie error but, no, I had ordered the right size - they'd sent the wrong one, so back it went and I ordered a different pattern.

Oh no Fortune, that's annoying. I've cut my pattern out onto paper but have got to say they look huge - far bigger than my sainsbugs PJ bottoms. But I'm going to persist with them, maybe I'll prefer a bit of extra fabric. I'm going to make the first set on the cheaper fabric I purchased - unfortunately I won't have enough of the more expensive fabric unless I need to make the next size down."Think of many things, do one"

Happy Easter!
Isn't it wonderful to finally see some sunshine 🌞 We've had two days of blue skies and birds singing and it's been lovely.
We are having a quiet Easter. Mr F has been taking advantage of the good weather and given the grass its first cut. He's also cleared most of the veg patch of weeds.
My shoulder is healing very slowly and, last week, I fell down the stairs and hurt my ankle 🙄 I shouldn't be let out alone really 😆 So I have been a little restricted. I have managed to do some more sewing - a tea cosy as part of Uncle F's Christmas present (he loves tractors and yes I know it's only April 😂) and some pyjama bottoms. I am very chuffed with the pyjama bottoms - they are my first garment and my first made to measure (I had to shorten the legs 😆). They fit really well and I used an old duvet cover for the material so cheap and recycled 😁
We were planning to visit the garden centre today and have lunch in their restaurant but, when we got there, they were closed 😲 On a bank holiday weekend 😲 So it was back home for a quick baked potato with beans. They are open tomorrow apparently so we'll try again then. Supper was Chipotle Sweet Potato & Black Bean Stew with Cheddar Dumplings and there's enought left over for tomorrow too.
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are 🌞

I thought the same with my pattern @SandyShores - which one are you using? I'm making everything out of old duvet covers to start with. I thought I'd graduate onto 'proper' fabric once I'd familiarised myself with the patterns. I think it's better to go too big than too small. At least if things are too big you can fix it.
I love that we've started a virtual pyjama making club 😁
