Vanquis give at least 30 days notice of a rate reduction. That is not 30 days plus notice period, but just 30 days. Maybe a worth while backup if there are no better options. The other concern I have with them is it is issue 2. Out of curiosity how much does their issue 1 currently pay?Burcot said:Have other accounts - just made deposit from Tandum 5% easy access to Vanquis 90 day at 5.5%,,,,wondering if they will also drop their rate?1 -
5.65% for 200 days notice was a poor rate considering you could get 5.60% for 95 days and 5.50% for 90 days coupled with the flexibility.barafear799 said:Can't see anything on this thread about Chorley BS - I recently opened the 200 day notice account (think it was at 5.65%) - it now seems to have disappeared - presumably NLA. But given the lack of mention on here - is there a "problem" with Chorley or is 200 day notice just too much (may as well get 6 month fixed rate)? Thanks0 -
I have issue 1 & 2 of Vanquis 90 day accounts. The issue 1 5.35% . I have noticed a change with the issue 2 in that it forces a closure if you take the balance under the £1000 (guessing in 90 days time).Issue 1 I have been able to put in withdrawal notices which takes it under £1000 with no automatic closure coming up0

Probably because they want the older folk to think they are getting a good deal and hoping they aren't savvy enough to look around and realise its a **** dealDigital_Payback said:barafear799 said:Can't see anything on this thread about Chorley BS - I recently opened the 200 day notice account (think it was at 5.65%) - it now seems to have disappeared - presumably NLA. They offer an Easy Access account for the over 60s with tiered variable interest of 3.25% / 3.35% / 3.45% AER. They say this is a limited issue account and available to eligible UK residents aged 60 years old and above only. Why would anyone over 60 sign up for such an offering? Not exactly a bargain!
Many other accounts elsewhere offer a better rate and 4 other Chorley Easy Access Savers do too.16 Panel (250W JASolar) 4kWp, facing 170 degrees, 40 degree slope, Solis Inverter. I have weekly scheduled withdrawals from Mansfield 90 days tracker and transferring them to RCI as they arrive. Not going to stop this process until RCI gives rate reduction notice. I've opened HTB and Oxbury as alternatives. We'll see what happens, but I think at this time it's a good idea to grab as many offers as possible.soulsaver said:Rheumatoid said:
I haven't received my 109 days notice yet. Wonder when it will arrive?soulsaver said:RCI 95day 5.6%
If you don't like the potential move to 5.30% check your opening date, there's 14 day cooling off...
That's why I said 'potential'.
15 week (min) fixed at 5.6%... ? I may add more!0 -
I guess the product is designed to trick uninformed people of senior age. I grabbed 5.3% 1 withdrawal account, put £10k there, but not going to increase. ATM I'm much more comfortable with 5.2% Santander and 5.23% Gatehouse for the bulk of my EA pot.Digital_Payback said:barafear799 said:Can't see anything on this thread about Chorley BS - I recently opened the 200 day notice account (think it was at 5.65%) - it now seems to have disappeared - presumably NLA. You can choose between monthly and annually when you open the account.Burcot said:allegro - is the gatehouse paying on monthly or quarterly basis?1 -
After closing my 95 Day HTB thrown 17k in the 5.2 Santander seems no brainer to have the funds immediatelyallegro120 said:

They seem to have reduced the rate for new applications and would be surprised if the new rate wasn't also applied to existing accounts at some point.
