The Investe definitely wins for now. But I've seen how pre-emptive Oxbury are at reducing rates on their non tracker fixes - understandably - and it may be that Investe behave pre-emptively in the future. I also like Oxbury's customer service so have decided to open Oxbury as a back-up for now. I have 90 days to fund it and can then reduce the balance to £1 after 90 days' notice, si it's a good one to keep "just in case" because the tracking element may top them being so pre-emptive as with their other fixes

Agree that Oxbury customer service through chat is really good, never had the need to phone them yet.

RCI BANK E-VOLVE 14 DAY NOTICE ACCOUNT.

This one was previously mentioned under Easy Access thread, but clearly belongs here.

Current rate  for new aplications is 4.65% ( my account shows 4.70%), so not going to shoot the lights out, but a decent improvement over the July rate of 4.31%.  Only requires a £100 minimum deposit and will pay out interest monthly.

Maybe worth keeping an eye on, since it sits nicely between instant access and the longer 60,90, and 95 day notice alternatives.

    RCI BANK 95 DAY NOTICE.

Current interest rate 4.95% or 4.84% if paid out monthly.

Similar to Investec, RCI will give 109 days notice before any interest rate change, but I agree the consensus in favour of Investec given the current 5.25% rate (5.13٪ if paid monthly) on offer. I have opted for Investec on this basis.

My options tend to be a bit more limited, since I insist interest is paid out to me monthly to live off.

I had loads in the RCI 95 day account earlier in the year when it was paying 5.6%. Not so competive now.

The only problem with Oxbury is that they won't pay any interest on the balance below £1000, so your monthly interest payments won't compound.

    Email from HTB,
"We recently decreased the rate on our notice accounts for new customers. As an existing customer, we will keep your current rate of 5.00% AER gross variable until 10 December 2024. After this date, the rate on your 95 day notice account will be reduced to 4.50% AER gross variable."

I see my easy access cynergy account is still stating 4.9% with the additional bonus.  I will try to check if there is a reduction already stated. If not I will add to this. I cannot see that rate being offered to new applicants when I checked - does anyone know if 4.9 is about to be reduced? ......edit, I guess not, lol.

I received an email from Charter last week stating
" Following the Bank of England rate reduction, the interest rate payable to your 95 Day Notice Issue 63 account, is reducing.
We've already provided you with notice that your 95 Day Notice Issue 63 interest rate will be decreasing as of 1 November 2024.
We emailed you on 8 July 2024, please refer to that message for further information."
I do not have an email dated 8/7 from Charter regarding this account. Is anyone able to enlighten me as to what the change announced on 8/7 that is to take effect on 1/11 is please?

Don't know about email 8 July, the BoE reduction didn't occur until 1 August. I have the same 95 Day Notice Account but the only email I received from Charter last week was about EA interest rate reductions. The accompanying sheet also indicated that the Charter 95 Day Notice Accounts will reduce from 17:12:24, Issue 63 reducing from 5.25% to 5.0%.

I'm wondering how they emailed you on 8 July about a BoE rate reduction on 1 August.
