We sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation? Won't be published before Xmas, but it is imminent, so keep your eyes peeled in early 2023.
Yes, please don't take and walk away with the considerable help the forum has given you to help get you off your ticket. You have much to contribute to the public consultation in exposing the problems the private parking sector is causing UK citizens. MSE forum regulars have little experience of direct ticketing from the out of control network, we make sure we avoid it, but with your first-hand experience, you are even much better placed than us to bring to the DLUHC's attention what is being caused out in the real world.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just checking you are among those ready to respond to the questions as you have personal experience of how this crap feels?

    Yes, I most certainly am.
Please come back here when it opens, and you can make sure you don't miss the Consultation:

If you are not a regular reader, to be alerted you'll need to bookmark the thread by MSE_JC at the top of the forum and enable (on your profile) email alerts for bookmarked threads.

Join us when the Consultation opens very soon.
Can you please provide a link to the thread you've directed me to? I can't see anything obvious at the top of any of the motoring forums.

After requesting that they delete my data, I received the email below. It was good of them to let me know!

Technically, yes, but if they've deleted everything they would be unable to do so. Having said that, they must have a procedure in place as to the order of companies that they use to try and extort money from people.

Perhaps you could send an SAR in a few months time asking them to provide you with all personal data they hold about you.
If they say they have none, or can't find any, then they have (probably) deleted it.
If they produce any documents, even the one saying they have deleted your data, then they haven't deleted it.

I'd leave it and instead concentrate on the response to the upcoming Consultation to change the law about the level of parking charges.
