It's not obvious at all, it's spurious conjecture.
Thank you for your lecture on the ins and outs of lenders and the relative criteria that they use to assess applications. I am sure some peolpe here will find it useful.
It's not a lecture, it's a challenge to a questionable submission you've provided to a discussion board. I'm glad you accept you are mistaken and there was actually other differences beside the single one you suggested.

Why let the facts get in the way of a good moan though? Not arguing the toss on this any more, I've made my point.0 -
I'm not sure if this has been posted before so apologies if I am duplicating.
I've had no problems applying, have been given a higher limit and the card has worked perfectly. However it looks like a glitch with DVLA. I have tried to pay my car tax using the DVLA online service and failed....."Invalid card type for card number entered". Double checked everything and my end is correct and I chose the correct Mastercard.0 -

It says "There is no fee for paying with any debit card, pre-paid card or personal credit card. An additional fee of £2.50 is applicable to all other types of card."
Looks like they don't recognise the card yet.

I stand corrected!0

It's now open to all applicants - not just those who have signed up for emails or previous cardholders.
I ran the eligibility check - and it came out with a lower limit than I'd like, and an APR of 28% instead of the typical - so didn't go ahead with an application.0
