Do I understand the changes correctly?
I have 6 cards added to my Curve app.
They will remove 4 least used cards automatically and I won't be able to have more than 2 cards registered in the app at any time?
So, what about their advertised benefit (when I joined over year ago) of having to carry around just one card instead of big fat wallet?
Merging just 2 cards into 1 saves not much. What's the point?
I haven’t seen anything yet from Curve how ‘surplus’ cards will be identified and disabled. They should be telling us shortly.

The point of the change is that you/we will have to pay in future to receive the benefits that are currently still free.
  • I've just upgraded to Curve Metal. I'm going to be paying about 2.5k a month tax bill with it so the cashback on my credit card will cover about 90% of the fee. Cheap for the other benefits.

Wondered if anyone knows how you pick your 6 cashback retailers? Can't find it in the app????
Select curve cash in the list of cards, settings cog icon, features > curve cash

If you haven't used fronted before then watch out for cash advance fees from your credit card issuer.  Not all credit cards work well with Curve.
    Does it work with Barclaycard?

I still can't find the option to set the retailers 🤔🤔🤔
  • I use it purely for access to my Barclaycard through Google Pay

In payment cards, Curve cash will be all the way to the left unless you have rearranged the order.  At what point to you get to in my previous instructions?

Has anyone used curve fronted to top up a Monese current account? I am assuming that most if not all CC’s with treat this as a ‘cash-like transaction’?
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing

I pre-emptively pruned my Curve down to 2 cards in readiness for the free level.
Leaves me with little use for it, but not bad enough to ditch it.
    Retired 1st July 2021.
    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

It's probably still very useful for people who cannot get a contactless debit card from their bank, as they can front it with Curve and thereby get a contactless card.

The main benefit for myself of Curve was the Go Back In Time feature, which I used extensively to maximise my cashback from various cards. As Curve are cutting this to 3 a month on the free version, I no longer have a use for Curve when the new rules come in. ApplePay gives me more flexibility than Curve for purchases in shops, and I will revert to a single credit card for online purchases.

If I was younger, I would consider paying for Curve Metal, because of the travel insurance. But as they are cutting it off at age 70 (I'm nearly there), I can't justify paying for this, or any other Curve card.

  • This is what I see after pressing the cogs on curve cash.
  • When I click curve rewards I just see this. No option to pick retailers.
