Old Style Weight Loss Challenge - 3rd Quarter 2022

Using my old mechanical scales, I believe I can report a further 1 lb loss, that is a total of 2 lb since 1 July. Thus I'm on target for a 1 lb per month loss.
However this month I put a new battery in my electronic ones and have weighed myself daily (I know this is not normally recommended but thought I'd see what happened). I've seen my weight go up and down in that time. It was 0.9 kilo less on 31st compared to 1st August and that is a flicker under 2 lbs.
Converting the final kilo number to stones and lbs doesn't equal the mechanical scales result. But really it doesn't matter as, with either set of scales, the figure is less than it was. I feel confident September will see a further loss and then I'll aim to maintain it.
Good luck to everyone for the new, and final, month in this quarter.

A annoying STS for me, which means I'm still sitting on the stone mark 🙄

It will move soon Brambling.
I went in M&S earlier as I had a £10 voucher, looked at the calories on low fat salty snacks and put them back as I cannot stick to the recommended grams! Chocolate is being kept in the fridge as I don't like it cold, bread is off the menu. Did score some YS fruit so not all bad.

Hi all and good morning and @Brambling thanks for tracking. I am sad to report a 0.5lb gain.
I believe it is all down to portion size, and a bit of snacking and junk food sneaking in.

Morning all
Hope everyone is doing ok
Reporting a 1.5 lbs loss today. Pleased with the progress so far, although still tweaking what to eat to stay within calories but giving me enough energy. Exercise needs to be upped for sure, so I probably need to allow a few more calories for that to give me a boost

Good Morning
2.5lb loss this week please Brambling, thank you. Hope the scale gets moving for you soon xx
Well done on losses this week, hope any gains disappear next week
Jenny I noticed yesterday that kettle chips I bought, portion size was 25g, yet the bag was 85g, it's just to look better on the traffic light bit on the front of the bag I guess. My current fav great is Lidl's white choc strawberry sticks as it's wrapped and portioned out.
Hope everyone has a great week x

Half off please Brambling.
I have just creeped under the next stone marker... I am trying to be happy with this, a loss is a loss, I did get on the scales last Thursday and it was showing 2.5 lb off, however the new implant in my arm has just decided it's going to play up and I am bloated. It will settle so hopefully next week.
Small loss has kept me motivated to stay off bread and only 1 or 2 spuds if we have them for tea and to keep upping the protein.
Zippy, I can soon trough half an 85g bag, you are right about the traffic lights... they make you feel as if you are making a good choice, until you get your hand in the bag.
Well done Van girl.
ditty1234, it will come off next week, husband likes snacks and I have to be careful not to be encouraged by him, I'd be a size 10 if I lived on my own.
I've got about 13 weeks left until we go away for Christmas so aiming for a stone.
