Morning turtles
Had a nice afternoon on Friday, met a friend for lunch in a lovely cafe in a pretty town I've never been to, will visit again. I treated friend as a belated 60 treat for her. Came home and gave DD1 and bestie a lift to town then picked up later. Glad that DD1 managed a night out even if only a couple of hours.
Saturday was a struggle as DD1 was very anxious and depressed.
Yesterday was worse as DD1 still struggling with MH and also arguing with boyfr. Not sure what will happen but there is always room for her chez moi if she wants it. I went for a walk with my friend which was nice but my back was sore. Did some of my self employment in the afternoon but back felt worse so i watched TV in the eve then was asleep before 10. Slept for over 9 hours .
Grateful that DD1 can talk to me and DD2 is ok and enjoying her last few days at her uni flat

Good morning ⛅
So I was kidnapped by Aliens and have only just escaped... Honest Guv! 👽🛸⭐
Ahem. Just looked back to when I was last here... Had a week and half of strangeness. Dad decided to tell me on the Sunday that he hadn't had his bowels open in over a week!!! So I spent Mon/Tue driving round in 38' heat trying to sort him out and get him to the GP. It was too hot to be out and my apartment was stifling despite fans - I just felt wiped out. Wednesday in work felt really rubbish and put it down to either sunstroke from the day before or the heat in the clinic rooms at work. Anyhow - got home and tested positive for Covid. It wasn't as bad as when I originally had it but enough to floor me for the last 5 days. Dad has been fine thankfully and things starting to move 🙄
So today is the first day I've honestly felt up to getting back into my routine. On the plus; my NSDs rocketed haha as I haven't been able to go out - so am on track with my new re-worked budget still and am 5 NSDs up! Old debt now fully transferred across on to 0% interest new CC which will last through to the end of 2023 - start of 2024.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Feeling brighter and on the mend
2) Cool weather and rain
3) A few days off still
Today will be an NSD number...??? I lost track again!
Have a great Monday everyone 😘

Thanks for your support, Apple! Sometimes feel like I'm being pulled in all directions by different people. That's when motivation goes down the plughole!
Abundant - Sorry to hear you've had covid and about your Dad and his bowels! Pharmacist says adding some tinned pineapple in juice or sweet fresh pineapple into their diet can sometimes help with this problem. 😉

Have we any volunteers for next month?
After speaking to my niece yesterday, I've managed to cancel the hospice shop furniture pick up for today (will rebook when everyone's decided on the things they might take and checked whether they actually fit where they intend putting them). Still quite dizzy so unsure about the wisdom of being at mum's on my own for 4 hours plus travelling but it feels like I've gained a whole bonus day, so doing my best to make it count. The week was starting to look quite crowded (most of Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are booked).
Wardrobe audit. Listed the clothes I could see in my wardrobe (it doesn't have doors) then rearranged them so things that don't fit me are furthest away (I can get in most of them, they just don't look wonderful on me - need to lose those extra few pounds). Picked things up that were in the bottom of the wardrobe and hung and listed those.
Went through the drawer nearest the bed (had to move the pillows) and candles are now taking up a smaller space. I have half a drawer left and think I might use it for pills and regular creams (antiseptic, bite, moisturiser, eye, hydrocortisone etc) and get some stuff off the top of the drawers (calmer environment and won't continually lose things ion the bed sheets - fumble fingers).
Went through the boxes of canned and dried foods on my cube shelves and everything fits in 2 boxes, including odd bits that were dotted about the room. Picked up all the things that had fallen off the end of the bed. One small (not tiny) box found and has been marked so I can cut it down to the size that will fit inside a drawer. My underwear is a mess - most of it doesn't fit or hurts/ is very uncomfortable. Think I will keep it for now (lower drawer maybe) and then at least I can use it as a size guide when I can buy new (again after the pounds go).
Sheet and a few odd bits thrown down for washing, rubbish sack to bin + one from the kitchen that had swarms of fruit flies (must have moved on when I put the slow cooker pot and it's contents outside. Chopped lots of veg yesterday, nibbled raw veg and ate a whole box full this morning (roughly 1/2 a cucumber, 7 quartered small carrots, broccoli, baby sweetcorn and some mange-tout). Found a couple of mum's sauces in a jar so lots of chopped veg will go in a balti sauce and another load in a tomatoey sauce and be mixed with pasta. More will be eaten raw (have a steamer pan full of coleslaw mix and possibly roasted.
Have another 2 drawers to work on and will nail down some of the filing. Van is being hired on Thursday so will line up the things I need my brother to sign - he can do that whilst my niece and her bf sort his new to him WM and bed out. Whilst lunch was cooking I decanted another bag of tins onto the shelves, took 3 bags of recycling out to the bins and picked up a lot of branches I cut last week and broke them up for the green bin. Also brought more veg back upstairs with me.
By the end of the day I should have 2 bags for the food bank (1 food, 1 toiletries/ medical possibly some colouring pens and books - had them for a year and not used them), more sacks of each category of recycling and books, clothes and random items to take to the cs (and library books to return tomorrow before art therapy) and maybe a couple of pans of food cooked. Not forgetting to do some fun activities along the way. Little workmen are back so might watch them for a bit.10 -
Your workmen sound like minions, grandmanerd!

@grandmanerd , buy a pack of supermarket knickers to be comfortable in until they are too loose, please!Probate will come through and you can buy yourself some nicer ones, but life is too short to be in the wrong size underwear.Consider it a weight measurement tool - I bought these in July, and by the end of August I had to walk knock-kneed or they would have fallen round my ankles in the post office! That is how many inches I have lost! It is a non- weighing yourself goal.It is also a sub £5 spend. Give yourself permission - or give up knickers. Either or.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I'm way ahead of you f0xh0les. Last time I bought two sizes and they all fell off (it's more the shape of my stomach, I think). May have to try men's - DS3 has no problems wearing his (just anything more requires a special effort) and his 'baby bump' is bigger than mine. It's more do I chuck them all out (knickers only - the 3 bras I bought are all fairly new) or keep them so that when I'm ready to try again, I have an idea which size to buy.8

Well it’s Monday again. I hope everyone had a good weekend.
- No spends today so nothing spent unintentionally.
- No time/money/food/fuel wasted today.
- Not a great start to the day as wfh & computer didn’t work for first hour but got fixed & didn’t impact me too much. Alcohol free day so that’s 9/31. Diet going ok.
- Lemon smelling zofl0ra made me smile today.
- Budgets ok & £5.24 sitting in my account, pay day is Friday.
- I’m off on Thursday & have a cash budget I’m tempted to invite 2 of ds friends to bowling as I think it will be more fun than just me. But would increase the cost so less money on another day/activity, will think that over.

Today I am grateful for my neighbour being out for most of the day, so it was nice and quiet, for cats chasing butterflies, for my rasps, for dc doing a little school-related stuff, for eating the last of the not-so-nice food from the freezer (no more will we take it out thinking it is chili!!!)
