Kroo bank discussion

I've gone all-in with them as it stands. I've changed my PIP and Universal Credit payments to use Kroo for starters, but I tend to prefer a second account for payments, DD's and such so that's why I use Revolut.Deleted_User said:Any more Kroo CC users? I've recently opened an account for the balance interest and fee free overseas spending. Has anyone set up DD's on their account and or received their salary into the account?
Their Vaults are a good substitute for Kroo's lack of a "pots" feature as well.0 -
Revolut are not a bank in the UK, so have no FSCS protection. If they fold, your money could be gone. There are much safer "potties" - Starling, Monzo, Chase, even TSBjasonwatkins said:

Yes I'm fully aware of the status of Revolut thankyou. Monzo aren't an option for me, but I have Starling and Chase if I feel I need to make a change.Band7 said:

I'm also using them too.
I had 1 transaction in flagged for review the other day but was resolved in 30 mins or so.
Like many others, I can't wait for when they offer a 'pots' set up as it would be great to split the balance up etc.Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 17 payments until DEBT FREE - February 20270 -
Do Kroo offer the ‘Get paid early’ like Monzo do? And setting up DD, have either of you found certain companies don’t yet recognise Kroo?0

They don't offer the 'Get Paid Early' feature yet and don't know if there is any plans to.Deleted_User said:Do Kroo offer the ‘Get paid early’ like Monzo do? And setting up DD, have either of you found certain companies don’t yet recognise Kroo?
I have found the majority of DD's I have set up have worked okay with the odd one or 2 that seem to have acceptance issues. This isn't something exclusive to Kroo as I remember this issue with Monzo and Starling back in the early days.Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 17 payments until DEBT FREE - February 20270 -
Do you mean have worked? Yeah that’s the reason for me asking, my Monzo account has some issues setting up DD’s for a while until companies started seeing it as a proper bank.ryan92 said:

Whoops yeah, the majority have worked but a few haven't been recognised.
That would be more to do with the retailer not having updated systems though I believe.Currently in a Protected Trust Deed - 17 payments until DEBT FREE - February 20270 -
Typical. I go all in with Kroo and Starling roll out virtual cards a few days later ..0

They’re still a very new fully functioning bank though, so this may very well be a feature they offer in the future.jasonwatkins said:Typical.
