It is part of the normal process and doesn't add anything to the costs.  Make sure you complete the DQ - N180 by the deadline, send it to the address requested and make sure to serve a copy on the claimant/solicitors.  Do not use the claimant's copy but the official one.

And re-read the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread which tells you who to send the standard N180 DQ to.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hello all

So I got a letter like this

A notice of allocation to the small claims court

There is talk of £27, is this going to cost me yet more money?

The hearing is early July. and I've to file and serve a witness statement, which I don't really understand as I produced one for the last thing.

Any advice or help? I've contacted the enemy solicitors inviting them to contact me if they wish to negotiate (as the letter I received advises this)

Anything else I should do now  other than review my witness statement (uploaded earlier in this thread)
    thanks

I suggest you read the letter again to confirm just who pays that £27.... ;)

You do not negotiate with the solicitor!!! NO..Stop doing that.

You have filed your Defence already, now you need to prepare your WS bundle.

Current exemplar WS are by @aphex007 and @SJRRJS, which you can adapt to suit your case.

You seem to have given up on that idea already.   ;)

You need to re-read the paragraph starting "Unless..." on your Notice of Allocation.
