Big thanks to all, it was found in my favour and they've to pay me the witness fee.
Really wish I'd asked for more as this has been pretty heavy on me, (and I had to pay for the n244 )but really glad its over and amazing that I won.
Again, thanks to all who stuck with this, especially big thanks to Coupon-Mad, but everyone chipped in a lot :D
What is the "witness fee" and how much was it? If you've not been paid yet, you need to write a robust email to the solicitor (if they used one) or the claimant (if they didn't) and give them, say 7 working days, to pay the amount due. You could also make it an LoC by giving them 14 days to pay otherwise you will issue a claim against them for the amount due plus your costs. You could also write to the judge and point out that they have failed to follow the courts orders and for them to be sanctioned appropriately.
Sorry, i missed the question within this, answer in the below

They court have sent me a very brief letter saying that £100 is to be paid to me, this is less than the judge said in the court, which confuses me a bit, it was supposed to be £106, or maybe £116, not sure it went as high as £160, but I do think it had a 6 in it :/ I can't recall exactly

I think for six quid I wouldn't question it.  Normally you get a max £95 for loss of leave, plus travel costs.

    Great stuff!

As you have evidence of the horror of a parking CCJ for what turned out to be a meritless case, and it cost you £275 up front to rewind it (WHY SHOULD THAT BURDEN FALL UPON CONSUMERS IN PARKING CASES WHERE THE C HAS USED AN OLD ADDRESS?) please please please find time to do this new Call for Evidence:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80375249/#Comment_80375249

    The Committee invites evidence on:

    • What the current level of delay in the County Court is; the extent of any regional variations; and the effect of delays on litigants and the administration of justice

    • The ways in which the County Court engages with litigants in person, and how this could be improved

    • The condition of the court estate, and its effect on the work of the County Court

    • The use of technology in the County Court and how it could be used to improve the service provided by the County Court

    •  The effect of the court reform programme on the County Court, including the new Online Civil Money Claims service and the Damages Claims service

    • The current level of fees and the approach taken to costs in the County Court, and how the fees collected are used as part of the current funding arrangements for the County Court

    • Whether there is sufficient judicial capacity in the County Court, and current steps to improve judicial capacity

    • Whether there is sufficient staffing of the County Court

    • The causes of action giving rise to claims in the County Court

    • The current procedural mechanisms used by the County Court to resolve disputes

    • The quality of data available on the work of the County Court

    • What future reforms to the County Court should be considered.

Interested parties have until 14 December to make a submission to the committee.

Does this apply to the cases like mine where the postal strikes delayed the claim arriving? I've had it out with RM and no luck. Gone all the way through 6 appeals and just won't have it. Still trying with the courts, does this apply for the strikes cases like mine and @sasanova ?

    Absolutely yes.  :)

Any responses from anyone with a parking claim are good!  Your case was shocking and the Justice Committee should hear about it and be told that parking cases should be kept out of court and resolved by a bespoke ADR instead.

No-one should get a CCJ from a poxy parking firm, IMHO.  People should not be caused the level of harm you suffered.

That's the message - and the fact it is the weight of half a million parking cases p.a. that is instrumental in causing the CCBC to drop the ball and make mistakes.  Remove these cases from the system, by requiring disputed parking cases to be assessed out of the court system as far as possible.
