The entry sign is right at a zebra crossing, which drivers are more likely to be paying attention to, and on the inside of a tight corner
And fyi there's no other shops open that time of night, so whoever drove could only have gone to the co-op

Ok so wait till the first week of August then come back here to work on the WS that you should have done before the adjourned hearing.

You got lucky.  Don't complain about the adjournment - it saved you as you were in breach of the court Orders by failing to file & serve a WS bundle.

Hopefully the Judge at the new Sept hearing will allow your late WS bundle that you must now do in early August.   We will help you with it but you can base it in the one by @aphex007

Hello, I think my settings to give me notifications for this site are timing out or something. I didn't see your note until I was on holiday mid August, I'd assumed a couple weeks in advance would be enough.
What I have so far, whether useful or otherwise is here
    https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/e0x1dl9bms7w4sa2st344/Redacted-Witness-Statement-V2.docx?rlkey=kmjxtiyptx1jcg6pefe553t1l&dl=0

Seems a bit better than expected, hopefully I have a shot.

The court have offered me reimbursement for the day I bought off for the cancelled appointment (though I think i still lose a little in tax), and the next hearing is close to home, so there is that at least :)

I don't understand why you have the top bit of a defence shoe-horned in after para 12?

Then after your WS you then have chopped off some more of the Template defence.  This has no place in a WS.

    You have no paragraph 9?

Paragraph 11 wrongly calls it an 'offence', twice.

This is a bit ungrammatical, doesn't explain what sort of search costs 28 pence and it's an electoral roll not role:

"The claimant claims to have sent a letter on 23rd December 2020to an address I had vacated 8 months before sending (x), when I was registered on the electoral role elsewhere, I was there to be found for the price of 30pence that a search costs."

You also miss everything we normally say needs to be in a WS.

    Please bin that version.

Read the NEWBIES thread section on WS stage.

  • Hi, thanks again for everything, just sent the doc link below if you are curious but am sure it's no better than before, I know it's disappointing, but I really don't like dealing with this now so am not doing a good job. I'll let you know how it goes, but really I will be just happy when it's over

  • Big thanks to all, it was found in my favour and they've to pay me the witness fee.
Really wish I'd asked for more as this has been pretty heavy on me, (and I had to pay for the n244 )but really glad its over and amazing that I won.
Again, thanks to all who stuck with this, especially big thanks to Coupon-Mad, but everyone chipped in a lot :D

Well done. Can you please flesh out the court report? On which points did you win or was their case thrown out? Which judge?
