I discovered early this morning that I should have sent in the parish finance returns by yesterday, but I've had one h*lluva week and slept all of yesterday afternoon - I think I've got my annual bout of sinusitis due to hayfever: definitely C-negative according to LFT this morning. Anyway, I managed to print off a blank form to do a draft copy, then logged in with the details which were sent to me by our head office yesterday, but I have discovered that I am logged into a completely different parish's page!!! I have rung head office but there is no reply from the person who sent me the login details. And the form is !*?*!!! to complete.
So, when J the gardener arrived, I decided to ignore the paperwork for an hour and do some bits of long overdue planting out, consequently I have been able to cross a few more things off my to-do list.
Flying wise, I have washed up the bulb bowls which have been out in the garden (with the indoor bulbs having flowered) since Easter.
The man from the car dealership has just come to pick up DH's car for investigation into why we get five warning lights come on when driving.
I have an online meeting to attend this afternoon, then - having just chased up the opticians - I am going to pick up my glasses at 4.20. Hopefully the revised prescription will be the right one. If not, I shall have to stick with my old glasses. I have managed quite well with them for the past fortnight.
Hoping I can stay awake all afternoon, as I was up making a cuppa at 3.15.
Good luck with the hotspot, HB8 -
Quick update:
The person who sent me the login details rang back to say she had sorted the problem
She also said that the deadline for the returns has been extended by a monthso the pressure is off.
I am already feeling tired, so I will finish writing an email, then get lunch and have a rest before I have to concentrate for an hour on z00m.8 -
Hello all. Glad the pressure is off Ionafan.
Today I have done a work shift, dailies, walked dogs, hoovered and mopped through, prepped food for dogs and got admin up to date.
Next is the four items of ironing in the basket.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Show done, walked miles, plenty to look at, OH is now asleep, it seems I am on doggy duties for NND, who sent me a text while at the show, been to see doggie, who want to play with her bone, and has no intentions of weeing in the garden for me, so I'm off to take her out for a walk.1 million steps I'm coming to get you.....................:)Cats fedDinner defrosting out of freezer.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hi all
Tough day at the paid stuff, very tired and feel a headache coming on. DS2 has gone out with some friends and I have a feeling that I am going to be needed to go and collect him from somewhere, which I have no enthusiasm for doing.
I have got a £31 voucher for Tesco, nearly didnt bother opening the email. This is because after all the Covid carry on I got myself tied into a delivery saver plan which I didnt really use, so its not exactly a freebie, but still something I wasnt expecting.
Tea is in SC but no idea what time DH is going to land home so I am a bit undecided whether to get mine or wait for him. The house is a bit messy but not disastrous (which is good because I cant be bothered tonight).
Maybe I need another cup of tea.10 -
Four portions of veggie chilii made with the YS veg frozen - previous post corrected.
WM x 1 (towels) DW x 1
Pegged washing out when I got home from the job - I'm really loving this new life...just got to get over the blip...
now brought in. Ironed a maidenful - but I have a backlog of ironing.
Horse piddle in the morning. Kindle charged but I might take Richard Osman...
DW reloaded after tea; WUALTD (plastic lunch boxes). Recycling bins out. Also put out recycling at work and took glue in to fix the drawer front that I removed because I had lost the key. WM also loaded.
Salmon out of freezer, thawing in fridge for tomorrow's tea.
It's lovely having a 'longer' evening and the energy to 'do' stuff.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Thinking of you, Valli x
DH has to have an xray and blood test today, but his car is still being investigated (problem with the CPU, they say) so I am waiting to see when he wants to go and how we're going to get there. My car is too small for him. His car repair is going to be horrendously expensive for something that just happened and wasn't caused by anyone's bad driving!
So far today I have hung out one load of washing and am about to get another. I've stripped both beds, will clean the bathroom and ensuite, and will re-make the beds later.
I am back on my new glasses and trying to work out if they are actually still giving me problems, or if just being afraid of the possibility is enough to be bringing on a headache.7 -
What a morning!! I am done!
Took Squeak to bus stop.. plopped her on the bus..
Dot refused to get ready and had to be physically stuffed into clothes and restrained while I brushed her hair.
Squeak messaged to say she had left her bag on the bus. The bus with her lunch, equipment, ear defenders, squishie and most importantly her bunny.. so I rang to chase that and then rang her back and stayed on the phone until I had passed her off to the SENCO.. while on the phone..Dot refused to get out of the car so OH heaved her outShe refused to go into school so the Head ushered her in and closed the door so she couldn't escape.
I came home and made Squeak a pack up and halfway to school the bus company rang saying they had her bag.. Thank flock! and Bunny..
We dropped her a lunch and my spare bag and hand sanitiser (she uses it and sniffs her hands) another bunny.. and tissues.. She was in lessons by then. I had a quick word with the SENCO and she said all was ok at that moment.
We came back and went to get her bag from the bus depot.. they were so nice and had taken her lunch out and put it in their fridge!
OH is now working and I am chasing emails and wondering if an EHCP would provide some support for school and Squeak..
Pollycat is being a pain.. she was locked in the shed overnight and VERY needy this afternoon.
Pudding dipped his tail in my tea and lashed that everywhere
Meem has a hospital appointment in the morning.

With you in spirit Valli.Spent the morning at the Foodbank processing paperwork, paid for the blind I broke months ago which was replaced by the manager's husband (wondeful man), and managed to have a word with the art teacher who also happens to run the scrapstore (she's utterly brilliant). She's happy to take all the excess gardening gibble I have and put me on to someone who runs a community gardening project and he's very happy to take all my seeds. I'm delighted it's all going to good and that means a whole heap of stuff can be decluttered next Thursday. Also found a really pretty jacket in a charity shop that I love and will wear until it falls apart. Very happy bunny.Very little flying, exhausted by walk back through town and various charity shops and the bank to convert a few paper notes I found turning out a stash for the slippery plastic ones.Belovéd ran a load through the WM for which I am very grateful but it is now raining so the place looks like a Chinese laundry.Better is good enough.8
