Hi girlies
Thank you for the list. Unexpected day at home so I got loads done, including:
- X2 WM done and line dried
- Around 200 thistles pulled up
- Hob, splashback and cooked hood cleaned
- Brownies baked
- Hoovered my room
- Took electric readings and submitted them
- Emailed school about something
It doesn’t look much but I haven’t stopped!

... skids in late as usual. Back in this week, sorry I've been MIA again.Gibble sorted and boxed for the attic and another lot for going away at the end of next week, more borage seeds planted as only four geminated - they are a bit out of date but four is better than nothing. The whole of yesterday was spent repotting some very out of control tomatoes and courgettes and clearing up the yard, a job I've been meaning to do for well over two years. I ache all over today.House-wise, I'm still clearing up after a magpie got into my office and between it and the cats everything went flying and there's magpie pooh in the most unexpected places.Better is good enough.10

Hope Squeak has enjoyed being independent
Things I have achieved today:
- put sausage casserole in the SC for tea
- emptied the recycling bins: far too much plastic packaging this week
- hoovered all through downstairs
- S&S'd kitchen and bathroom
- made beds
- WMx1 hung out once the rain had passed and brought in before the next shower about 6 hours later
- went to the PO and pharmacy
- paid church bills
- made lunch, then picked all three of our big strawberries and lots of Alpine ones, which we had with ice cream in blazing sunshine
- sorted out a mixup at the start of a phonecall from someone local who I've never met, so it was a bit embarrassing! - but it all came to a very satisfactory conclusion
- covered the spare bed with church paperwork again
- updated the receipts and payments accounts and checked energy payments
After our evening meal I want to sort some very untidy plants in the back yard, but first Rosie must have her walk.10 -
The bus nearly took off with Squeak still on it she took way too long getting off.. fortunately I was there and the driver asked if I was getting on.. I said no I am waiting for my daughter to get off so she waited... had I not been there I dread to think where Squeak would have ended up.. back at school probably lol.
Fabian handed back to DS1
I have cleared 1 of the kitchen worksurfaces and will do the other in a sec while dinner cooks and I bath Dot, load the Dw and make pack ups.. I can do all that in half an hour right?? I am good at multi-tasking.

Hi all
Cheering Squeak on from here.
Having a meltdown, the car had to go in and get the brakes done and was supposed to be fixed but the same warning light has come back on. And we are going on holiday at the weekend and need the car to get there. I have car anxiety at the best of times. DH came and picked me up so I could leave the car with the garage.
I guess I am not 100% over Covid, paid stuff was hard work and my concentration is definitely not what it should be.
So I need to work out how I get to work tomorrow and then I was going to finish early and take DS2 out in the afternoon but I guess that all depends on whether I have a car. Fed up with everything at the moment.
I did manage to dust and hoover the LR before the paid stuff and put hotpot in SC. Need to put a load of washing in.10 -

Got a huge amount of flying and gardening done over the weekend in preparation for visitors arriving....er....later today, and my brother yesterday. So relatively little to do today, which was just as well as we were both kn****kered from the weekend's flying (so much for "we can really finish things off nicely today"..... a lot of reading and dozing was done).
so today:
- went for my longest run for a while. Warm but a nice breeze and went through 3 woodlands so mostly shady. One less pleasant incident involving a barley field, my short legs and a disappeared footpath resulting in - er- prickles at the top of my legs. Who knew ears of barley were so spiky. Ouch.
- changed bedding from DB last night (we'd given him a spare single duvet so it was only the bottom sheet that HAD to be washed and dried before next visitors).
- 2 loads washing done, hung out and actually dried despite occasional light showers and black clouds. We could actually do with vast amounts of rain as the pond is very depleted and the garden like a solid clay desert.
- Mr N did thorough clean of conservatory which gets messy so easily with both of us trooping in and out of the garden and using it as our main room in summer.
- I finalised menu plan for visitors and wrote mega shopping list.
- Went to Mr T; Ald1 would have been much cheaper but more limited and we couldn't face going to 2 supermakets today.
- filled bird feeders.
- washing brought in and put away, spare bed re-made.
- Caught up with a few emails.
- Checked travel and timing details for Wednesday as we are up to the city for the Kensington Palace Royal Photography exhibition and also the Superbloom (wild flowers in the tower moat). Fingers crossed no strikes.
Weighing day and it read the same as last week which was momentarily saddening but realistically I thought last week's reading was wrong, so 5lb lost in 2 weeks it would seem. Very happy with that. I will not remain a blob.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Morning ladies
I taught DS to make a cup of tea yesterday and he brought me one in bed, what a lovely start to the day.
My old Sheila maid broke last night so I need to try and source another today, A’s inexpensively as possible. I am also collecting some baked goods from a friend (I gave her lots of eggs) and then I will get on outside.
Take care all, hugs to everyone xx

Morning all. Well done to your DS ASB.
Today I am going to DDs house to look after DGD2. So no flying here.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10
